i can't read
oooh! i know! The Percy Jackson series! its hilarious, fantasy, theres some romance, and it has a happy ending! its perfect! unless youve read them already...
i guess i should update my list of books i've read the Percy Jackson series and the Lost Hero the Heroes of Olympus series
i luv those books! lol hmm...what else...? the Artemis Fowl books are funny at times, fantasy, a bit romantic, i dont know if they have a happy ending, though, cuz im currently reading them. theres a lot of action/adventure in those books as well
well the books don't need to be a series like they could be a one shot like mermaid parkanyway any suggestions on my project?
umm google publishing Anne Frank's diary? im not sure. there are a ton of books about the holocaust out there, though, like Number the Stars, A Devil in Vienna, and When Hilter Stole Pink Rabbit. those are all historical fiction, though
I think you'd enjoy The Secret Series... Pseudonymous Bosch is the author.
Then again, I think everyone would enjoy the Secret Series. XD
Maybe try Elsewhere, very interesting and engaging. Another good one is The Word Gang... And, if you're into darker fantasy, Coraline or A Tale Dark and Grimm. :-)
Another good darker fantasy novel is The Graveyard Book.

You'd probably like The Hunger Games, excellent series, but if you're a bit squeamish it might be a problem. There's not a lot of gore but it's a little bit graphic. You may also like the Gone series, which is also very good and a little sci-fi-ish.
Thank you so much for your suggestions everyonebut I'm not going to read over spring break only so that I could focus on schoolwork I'll definitely check out those books.... Anymore suggestions?
The Mysterious Benedict Society is very good... You just asked me wrong question, I could ramble on forever! Also maybe try A Series of Unfortunate Events.
Oh, and Becky I received the first Hunger Games book for mah birthday, so I'll be reading it soon
BUT IT'S SO BORING!!! *complains*
Lol, I've only read six pages... *sighs* It's going to take me a while to stop procrastinating...

"...if all the day off meant was roaming."
Should have been: "if having the day off meant roaming" or even "if all having the day off meant was roaming".
Sentence fragments are everywhere, sentences without subjects, sentences without predicates...

Nothing angers me more than mistakes in books. Well, perhaps cliffhangers... ;) I should be an editor when I grow up.
You should... there wouldn't be any mistakes!!
I hate cliffhangers... one I was reading this book and it was the last one in the series and suddenly it stopped... the author didn't continue with another book or tell you somehow... so i still don't know!

I've already read the series of unfortunate events and I realize the title spoke for itself but I'm still upset about the ending Ummm.... I read fanfic in fanfiction.com and I really hate when people don't use proper grammar or cuss but in books I don't notice mistakes very often whether it's because I'm to focus on the story or I'm not very good at grammar but sometimes I do notice and it ruins the mood like I didnt really get what the author was trying to say so I reread it but I might have to reread it a few times and by then the mental image I had is gone ....
(I hope this wasn't too long....)
Same here, Jackeline! I just caught a dreadfull grammatical error in the Hunger Games, "mom taught Prim and me.." GRR!
I'm not necessarily looking for them, but they do like to rub their ugly little heads in my face.
No, she just doesn't know how to write a grammatically correct sentence. >:( It's really starting to get on my nerves... On the plus side, the book is pretty good, if you look past the errors.
have you read twilight?! AHHH!!! grammatical errors EVERYWHERE! mah brain hurt after reading those books >=(
you are very wise to do so, im quite sure my IQ took a severe drop while reading those books.... dont worry, its back, but it took a while to get there >=(.
i was younger, and id never seen any of the reviews, and it was just sitting in my personal library, so i picked it up... i regret it
So I shouldn't read it.... people say I should read it but if there are so many grammar errors then it must be a terrible book
i don't understand why people don't like it could anyone explain? i do like the plot but i don't like edward's attitude toward how to be with bella also i don't like new moon slightly depressing. breaking dawn; i didn't like jacob's point of view why couldn't stay in bella's pov *sigh*
Well, honestly it's entirely up to the person who's reading it. If someone likes it but someone else doesn't, they shouldn't go say "But it's horrible! You have horrible taste if you liked it!". It's up to anyone's perspective. Some people think it's great, some people don't. I find it better NOT to judge a book by the editing skills, but by the actual story and the characters, if some people love it, great they've found a book they enjoy. If somebody hates it, fair enough, it's not the book for you, but some people shouldn't go bashing other people's opinions like they don't matter. Some people think it is poorly written, the characters are not likeable and there are lots of errors. But lets be honest; what book doesn't? There are exeptions but anyone is allowed to like whatever they want, and others shouldn't try to convince them otherwise.
I do like it but I think I only like twilight and even then before the baseball game when I found out there was going to be another book I also found out she wasnt actually going to do it because of a leak I was upset but I did read a draft of breaking sun(?) i liked it because it was in Edward's pov and we find out what people thought in twilight
Does no one else have any suggestions? If it helps I can refine my request (hope that doesn't sound demanding or anything) : not a series, not sci-fi, funny, romantic, a fantasy Any of the do's none of the not's
