Taueret | 42 comments hi, I wanted to put my facebook details "out there" and thought others might like to do the same, since a lot of us use a different name on goodreads, or don't have a profile pic! I'm Hope Nesmith on Facebook... hope to link up with other retreaters!

OK, I'll play too! My twitter handle is @dogearedcopy. My twitter account is actually the most active of my social media accounts...
Same teeny picture of me in the purple coat too :-)

message 3: by Callie (new)

Callie (calliekl) | 646 comments I am actually thinking about breaking down and joining the Twitterverse. However, I will stubbornly continue to hold my ground in regards to Facebook.

It's been a true joy watching people connect on Facebook and twitter as a direct result of the retreat.

I'm @annkingman on twitter, Ann Kunitz Kingman on Facebook. If your Facebook name is significantly different from the name on your retreat nametag, please put a note in your friend request since I only friend people there that I actually "know".

The challenge, of course, is that so many people are on different social media networks. When we did the survey, one of the great ideas was to have a group ahead of time where attendees could get to know each other. We had one on Goodreads, but that person isn't on Goodreads, so suggested Facebook. Of course, not everyone is on Facebook ...

I'm @bibliosue on Twitter, Suzanne Weiner on Facebook.

message 6: by Lisa (new)

Lisa Roberts | 59 comments I am not on Twitter and don't plan to be. I am Lisa Wardein Roberts of Albuquerque on Facebook.

usually my e-mail tcheer4life@yahoo.com is enough to find me on either Twitter or Facebook since trying to find me by name is impossible - since I'm Linda Johnson. I mostly lurk on these sites, but once in awhile I respond to something someone says.

This thread was a wonderful idea. I, like Ann, don't friend everyone so try to let me know what our tie is. (There are a LOT of Linda Johnsons in the world.)

message 8: by Lisa (new)

Lisa Ladd | 63 comments I am Lisa Ladd on Facebook, I don't have a twitter account (yet).

message 9: by Kate (new)

Kate | 270 comments I am Kate Green on Facebook and here on Goodreads. I have a Twitter account, but I don't know how to use it ( I wished i was around for Matthew Dicks' tutorial.

Oh, dear, there are a million Lisa Ladds and Kate Greens on Facebook. And the little avatars don't help. I want to be your friend, but you'll have to friend me first so I'm sure it's the right one. :)

message 11: by Kate (new)

Kate | 270 comments Ann, as I was typing my name I realized that. I will friend you first:)

message 12: by Tracey (new)

Tracey (tracemick) | 217 comments I am Tracey McCrea on Goodreads and Facebook. I have a Twitter account but mostly to follow awesome people like Ann and Michael. I have yet to send a tweet but I'm tracemick on Twitter. :) I still have retreat withdrawals. :)

Yay, more new friends!

message 14: by Mrs. LF (new)

Mrs. LF (lissyf) | 6 comments Thanks for starting this thread! I met so many wonderful folks on the retreat and I keep wanting to tell them one more thing or update them on my latest read or book purchase. Here's how to contact me. I'm not on Facebook or Twitter (I'm a conscientious objector!). But I'd love to receive emails from folks and you can get me at lissyfriedmanphaionlineorg or if you are a knitter or crocheter, you can find me on Ravelry.com (kind of like Facebook for fiber enthusiasts) as sticksnshtick.

message 15: by Alexia (new)

Alexia (crittersmom) | 29 comments I didn't attend the retreat :( but would love to friend people on Facebook. I am Alexia Repella Estabrook-Isely. If you friend me, just say you are in the BotN Goodreads group.

message 16: by Darla (new)

Darla (deel) | 3 comments Hi Ann,
I'm still carrying a glow on my face from the BOTNS Retreat! It was so great to see you again and to meet Michael. I have to admit that even though I brought 3 friends with me (Lisa, Nancy, & Leann), I still got in "trouble" with my second book group for not having invited them along! Looking forward to the next retreat! I tried to find you on facebook using your full name but alas, the search engine doesn't bring you up. Please friend me (Darla Dee LaRoche). I'd love to keep in contact that way also. Happy Reading, Dee

Joanne-in-Canada (inkling_jo) | 255 comments I'm not on Facebook or Twitter (how do you people find the time to keep up so many sites?), so anyone who wants to contact me, please use Goodreads. I still write letters. With paper and pen. And stamps!

How's your dog Joanne? (If you're not that Joanne, sorry!)

message 22: by Trish (last edited Apr 25, 2011 08:30PM) (new)

Trish (bowedbookshelf) I'm @bowedbookshelf on twitter and Patricia Rooney on Facebook. I use twitter far more frequently than I do Facebook, however.

Star is doing fine. My husband and I think your suggestion of a diet change is a good one, but haven't yet implemented it. My older daughter is home for two weeks before travelling all summer and my younger daughter is finishing an online high school English course, so I'm a bit overcommitted. We're waiting for things to calm down a bit before we give it a try. I'll keep you posted.
