What was your first Stephen King book?

My first was Salem's Lot about fourth grade. Loved it! Have embraced vampires and all things horror ever since.

My first King novel was It. And to this day (probably 15 or so years later), it's still my favourite book, both of King's and in general.
I'm not entirely sure but I think it may have Tommyknockers. I first saw the film as a kid and I am pretty sure I read the book soon after that then. http://divaliciouzbookreviews.blogspo...
My first was The Shining in junior high. Loved it!
The shining is an amazing book. I hope I get it in hardcover.
I don't remember when it was, might have been in 1990 when I was 13 years old I read "It". I was always so good at reading that even at this young age I could still follow the flow of the story even though it jumps back and forth from the characters being kids to being adults. I loved it.
My first Stephen King book was Night Shift...the one with the hand with the eyes on the cover. That's still my favorite one of his anthologies; it has so many great stories like "The Boogeyman" which I have a vivid recollection of my big brother reading to me when I was about five years old. It was the beginning of a life-long love affair with all things Stephen King.
Carrie was my first, and in those days I was a teenager just like the main character. I had never read anything quite like it!!
My first was "It" around 13 or so. It was terrifying for me because I actually did make paper boats and watch them float down the street to the gutter and had watched the old Universal horror movies as a kid. To this day, I cannot watch clowns without getting goosebumps. It remains one of my favorites.

My first Stephen King book was either "Night Shift" or "Skeleton Crew" I cannot remember, as this was a long time ago. I was about 14, and staying with my grandparents for the summer. I took a book with me, as they lived out in the country, and there wasn't a lot to do. Unless you liked farming, that is. You could garden, or pull weeds, or bale hay. Or feed cows. You get the point. I preferred to read the day away, and immersed myself into the land of King. I was soon finished with the book, and begged my Grandpa to take me to the book store so I could get another. Thus my addiction with King started! I read the short stories one after another! Then I moved on to "Firestarter" and "Pet Cemetery" and things of similar nature. It was a busy summer!
My first was Eyes of the Dragon which was soooooo long ago that I hardly remember anything about it other than I totally loved it. It is on my list of ones to re-read.

My first was The Gunslinger (the revised edition). By the time I got 1/4 of the way into The Drawing of the Three I was hooked on the series and when I finished all seven books I was irrevocably hooked; I've been practically gobbeling up his books ever since.

Night Shift. Seen it on my Mom's dresser, picture on it had eyes all over a hand. Said "Hummm, What's this?" Read it, been a "King" fan ever since.
I believe it was Pet Cemetery could have been The Green Mile though I read those both around the same time
I was ten years old, and it was IT (in hardcover). One of the greatest experiences of my young life was being terrified by that opening scene where we meet Pennywise.After that, I was a constant reader of King, and still am.

Needful Things was my first, and my first novel reading experience, back when I was 13 or 14. I had seen the movie but was so excited that the book was so much better. That's also when I first learned the books are better than the movies lol. I was hooked after that.
I think it was dreamcather. Not 100% sure though.
11 years old, my first King experience.
I checked it out of the library "for my mother" and had to intercept the overdue notices because it was so scary that it took me all summer to read it...

My first King book was Carrie. I read it March of 2011. I enjoyed it very much. Since then, I have read fourteen Stephen King books, in a little over a year. I regret not getting into him sooner.
My first King book was Carrie. I was around the same age as Carrie and really identified with the character as I was teased like she was (although my mother was nothing like hers, thank God!). I have been hooked ever since. I bought It with my own money as a kid and I was proud of that one. I am currently collecting all of his books and re-reading everything. I am about to start The Standduring my vacation.
First Stephen King book I ever read was Christine and I've been a Constant Reader ever since. Currently I'm in the process of re-reading a lot of his older novels starting with Carrie, which I finished recently for the third time in audiobook.

If I remember correctly, the first King I started was Nightshift, I do love short stories, but I set it aside at some point and read The Shining. What I don't recall for sure is if I read 'salem's Lot before finishing Nightshift. Either way those were the first three King books I read.

It. Was my first shot at horror fiction and took me weeks to complete, but was worth it.
I can't remember the order of the two but it was either The Shining or Pet Semetary. Read them both in junior high school.
The Stand I think in my first year of high school, but maybe it was my last year of middle school.
IT was my first Stephen king book and I read it when I was in 6th or 7th grade. After that I was hooked to King lol.
Mysery followed by Dolores Claiborne.
Creepshow... I was in 6th grade, and I did a book report on it. The teacher didn't give me credit for it because it wasn't a "real book", so my Dad went to the principal and complained (to put it lightly) until I got credit.
