Tommyknockers as I was into aliens at the time and the premise was close enough I thought. It was a good read but not sure if it's one that is worth rereading again.

The first one I tried was Needful Things when I was around 14 but I didn’t finish it. The first one I finished outright was Cujo a couple years later.
My first was Cujo. Which is awesome because that just happens to be the next book you guys are reading right when I joined the group.
It. At the age of 13 or 14. I was terrified (and loved it).
Mine was either Cujo or The Dark Half. I think it was Cujo, a long time ago.
The Dreamcatcher when I was 12 or so. Remember my mom gave it me as a gift, and also DNFing it back then for two reasons: 1) I thought it was kinda boring and 2) Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix had just come out, and of course I was reading that first. Anyway, gave it another chance later and completely changed my mind about it. The rest is history, and since then I've read most of SK's books.
I am not 100% sure but I believe Misery sold me on King with the Lawnboy product placement back when I was 13 or so.
mine was Salem's Lot. I'm into vampire stories and that really caught me. I was 17 and I had the most terrifying summer nights I am able to remember.
My first stephen king book was dolores claiborne💜. Ill def reread again!!! It was in highschool when i read it!!
My first King book I didn't know he wrote it. I read the Running Man before a friend told me it was pseudonym. Fun read though.
It's Four Past Midnight I borrowed from our college library. I just picked it up arbitrarily and was intrigued by the title "Langoliers". The full book is thick and heavy but then I thought back then that I'll just read that one novella so why not give it a try and see if I continue with the rest of the book. I read it when I got home and Im already hooked at around quarter of the story. There's something about King's style that made it easy for me to be "there" in the story(like taking a sip out of Parkus bottle). Been reading books before but it was the first time that I actually felt that the characters and the situation are real,it's like daydreaming with a good plot. I've been a fan of his works since then because of that.

My first Stephen King Book was It. It was a summer reading assignment in high school. But haven’t read one again till after college and that was Pet Semetery that got me back into reading and made me become an avid reader.
The Shining. I was around 7 or 8 years old, someone sold it to me for 10 cents at a garage sale on our block, I lied and said it was gift for my mom. I stayed up late every night reading in by flashlight under the covers :)
The Stand. Picked it up at age 17, and have been a huge SK fan ever since. Still my favourite author.
My first Stephen King book was Night Shift. I had discovered King's short stories from reading some horror anthologies, and was very excited to find that he had released a collection of his own. My favorite stories were The Mangler and The Boogeyman. I remember was in my early teens, and I would stay up late at night with my clip-on lamp half buried under a pillow to reduce glare, and listen to my favorite cassette tape at the time, U2's War.

He's easy to read, and it makes him so much more accessible to readers. That's why we can devour those 800-page books he keeps turning out.
Mine was "IT" and I think I was about 14. It was a summers holiday and I remember staying away from gully holes and drains the whole summer.
The Dead Zone . I think in middle school . I remember I felt naughty reading it because of the swear words not the subject matter . lol
Mine was The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon. I was 13 years old and had just finished reading a biography of Stephen King. I wanted to read something of his so badly, and this was the most "kid-friendly" lol. Thankfully I moved on to read some of his classics, and now most of my bookshelf is taken up by his impeccable work.
My first experience with Steven King was Cycle of the Werewolf, which I tried to read when I was far too young to appreciate it. The first King novel I really absorbed was Carrie.
My first Stephen King Book was Pet Semetery. I was about 14 or 15 and I think I read it in one sitting. AWESOME couldn't put it down.
The first book I ever read by Stephen King was Carrie. I read it because I had the [hopefully] good idea to pair it with the Gothic Literature section I was teaching right before prom season at a high school. I was familiar enough with the story before reading it to be fairly certain it worked. Though not exactly Gothic, teaching "Carrie" went over very well, and I taught it for several years until I moved on from that subject matter. Though I have read a few of King's books over the years, "Carrie" will always hold a special place in my heart.
11/22/63 But then I had a gap of a few years where I didn't read any of his work. And then boom! Pet Sematary opened my eyes to a whole new world of horror and I fell in love with the King's books.
My first book was The Shining. Before that novel, I'd been reading novels by Agatha Christie and John Grisham. When I chose The Shining to read, I don't know that this is one of Stephen King's famous works, to be honest, I even don't know who Stephen King was. I was mesmerized as well as frightened after the completion of one of his horrific novels. I realized that I was quite impressed with his style of literature. I don't know who many readers have felt like me, King has a unique style of writing. No matter what's the genre of the novel, I always like and admire his writing style. I'm currently reading one of his dreadful novels, Pet Sematary. I'm very excited to read his newly published novel, The Institute.
Cujo was my first King read too. I think I was around 11 years old at that time. I just remember reading all the profanity and her description of cheating on her husband and thinking, "Am I supposed to be reading this?"
“Green Mile” is the first book by Stephen King. This novel touched me very much.I recently read “It”. I was struck by this book. Now it's one of my favorite novels.
My first Stephen King book was IT. I remember I was 17 and had just started my first job. I had to catch a train to work everyday and I wanted to have something to read on the train. While I was waiting one day, I went into a second-hand bookshop nearby and bought IT, Pet Sematary, Tommyknockers, Misery and the Green Mile all for $2 each. I really wanted to read IT first, as Tim Curry scared me so much when I was little that it made me scared of clowns. By that age, I had really come to love the horror genre. And so began my obsession with everything Stephen King.
