Hiya! I'm @FanGirlMichelle. I love this idea, and I'm looking forward to discussing awesome books with my fellow geeky girls.
Howdy! I'm @theroseinbloom and I am SO EXCITED. I'm a certified English teacher, a community manager for a cloud computing startup, and most definitely a giant geek! And I am 100% a woman who loves The Hobbit and Game of Thrones!
Hi. I'm @travellingfair. I think this is a great idea. Haven't read The Hobbit in a while. Looking forward to it :)
@pixiestix1207- Present!I'm a board gamer, music lover, and inspired by our collection of fabulous girls.
Looking forward to a lively discussion in this group. :)
I'm @inurlibrary and a public/academic librarian who gets to do the SF/F collection development for my public library. When there's a budget for it, anyway!
Hi all I'm @tankrgrl879 on Twitter, mom of 2, huge Star Wars fan and LOTR...live to read and I'm about to move to Alaska :)
Hi, everyone! I'm @GonkDroidBlues, as well as Thespian, writer, cinephile, collector, tea enthusiast, & a 'Star Wars' geek. Proud to be a part of this 'geektastic' club!
Allo! I'm @MissCorene, a children's librarian (AKA Professional Book Geek). Star Wars, Star Trek and Stargate are my holy nerd trifecta. Looking forward to reading with fellow Geek Girls.
Hello all, I'm @NikkiSticks...and I am proud to have so many of you here starting GGBC! I am so thrilled that so many amazing people are getting together to make this book club a reality...I could never have pulled it together without all of you.
hey, i'm @docslacker longtime fantasy fan, addicted to reading and getting my kids hooked on both books and fantasy.
Hi, everyone! I'm @ladypembroke. I'm a mother and an astrophysics major who has been into fantasy books since I first read Madeline L'Engle's "A Wrinkle In Time" when I was 6. I'm so glad to find more kindred spirits to play with.
Hi, I'm @emmaryal. I'm a single mum that loves reading. I will happily give anything a read. Never been in a book club. I remember my mum reading me the Hobbit when I was young and I'm determined to make that one o my son's memories.
Hello all! I'm a fantasy writer (and reader) and mother to a 16 month old Geek Girl. My Twitter handle is @mishellbaker if anyone wants to chat!
Hey all! I'm @soxxers. I've loved to read since I was eight, but this is the first time I've been excited about a book club. Go GeekGirls!
Hey, I'm @Nutmegg98. I'm a kindergarten teacher who fell in love with the LOTR books back when I was 12-years-old. I'm also a huge fan of Star Wars and anything else that's probably considered to be geeky. :)
I'm @GingerNinsja and I love all things kitties and gaming (plus a lot of other nerdy things ^_^). This is, too, my first book club!
I'm not on Twitter - is that OK? I am in all other ways pretty darned geeky - a Tolkien geen since the age of about 12, a comic book geek all through my teens, Doctor Who (LOVE the group logo image) and Star Trek and Renaissance Faires - and fantasy fiction, of course. This is a terrific idea!
I can vouch for Tracey's awesomeness. xDI'm @meerkatwhimsy. I'm also somewhat confused about the twitter tie in, but I'm all about some geekiness.
Hey all I'm also not on Twitter...but have been a geek my entire life :) Glad someone started this group :)
Hey, my name is Megan. I am a twenty something English Major who loves to read books. I read everything from typical book club fair to fantasy.
Hey. I'm @knitiot on Twitter. Great idea for a book club! I'm a boring bank employee but I love fantasy fiction.
My copy of the Hobbit is on the one bookshelf I keep in my room - it is the one with all the books that are falling apart because I re-read them so often...ah might need to get around to replacing some copies soon. I think a few of them are on copy two or three already :)
Hello everyone. I am @QuarkyGirl, I am currently in school for Computer Science, after being a Anthropology/Japanese Studies Double major for two years. I love to read and am very excited to have this group!
Hi from @BridgetMcKenna--longtime geek, mother to geeks, grandmother to yet more geeks. The idea for the Geek Girls Book Club was born on Twitter, during a frenzy of posting about (drum roll) The Review. That's the connection, for those who wondered, and I predict a lot of Twitter activity around this, so why not leap in and join the conversation?
Hello all! I'm Ginge (@aemjae) and I was recently led to GR via my friend Keli. It feels so nice to be among fellow geek gals! :)I'm not very well at intros, but please feel free to check out my profile and friend me if you'd like! I look forward to mingling with all of you. :)
Hi! I am @KymmyHoff and desperately trying to finish my current book in time to start off this classic with you all. Been a long time since I have read it but hubby and I are big Tolkien fans, so much so that we named our beautiful girl Arwen. You don't get much geekier than that!
Hi, everyone! I'm @crvena_sonja (Red Sonja really :) and I'm a recent CS grad. I absolutely adore The Hobbit, graphic novels like the Sandman & Fables series, and A Game of Thrones, just to name a few... Can't wait to read and chat with everyone here!
Hi there! I heard the geek girls podcast and the discussion of the silly nyt editorial (iPad made nyt into nut). Glad to see this group. I'm Ed and happy to be a part of this group. I'm @edspillane on twitter and http://Facebook.com/Ed.Spillane.
Hi all, I'm @jenna_goodall on twitter. I'm a college student studying French and Library Science, and I can't wait to share my geekiness with all of you!

Hi I'm @AnnieEvett on twitter and wish I had more time to read. This group - hopefully will give me a reason to MAKE time...I'm an author, editor, speaker, mum - a thaumaturg . stuff about me and the insane life I lead can be found here http://annieevett.com/
Hi, I'm @inger - closet geek (although the closet may be made of glass). I've never belonged to a book club before, but this one looks fun.
Hi guys! My name is Michelle (@shellysaurus__ on Twitter!). I'm a little intimidated right now, cause it seems like everyone here is older than me - but you all seem so nice, I'm sure I'll get used to it. I'm greatly looking forward to being here! (:
Hey I'm Jessie. I'm @msjessieee on Twitter. I love to read, love all kinds of books. Fantasy, sci-fi, dystopian, chick lit, I love them all. I feel slightly intimidated like Michelle, but I hope to get to know all of you and showcase my extreme geekitude.
Hey all! I'm Dana and I don't have a Twitter account (I hope that's ok?) but I'm fairly certain I can make up for that in utter geekiness. I love sci-fi and fantasy of pretty much every make and model and in any media format. I'm currently a grad student studying Library Science. I get a little intimidated by on-line forums and such but if it's discussions about the dweeby books I love, this should go well. Small warning: my undergrad degree was in both English and Communication Studies so I will probably get very theoretical.
@Michelle - You're very welcome to join in! Don't worry about your age, we need young blood and us old fogies are thrilled to pass on our love of fantasy!
@Dana - don't worry about having a Twitter account. I'm sure the discussion here will be lively and we need all the geeky librarian ladies we can get!

OK. I've limped into the 21st century and signed up on Twitter - @Walk_inthe_Dust seems to be me. Um. I'll be the one looking befuddled in the corner ...
