Yay! Our first actual discussion!!
Anyway, I would like to know what we are all reading right now. So, what have you all read recently?
Who was you favorite character, and why?

Oh erika... Thank you for answering my post so i don't feel like a fool for talking to myself.
Anyway, I just thougt of something else. If you feel strongly about a book you read, say so, and I'll add it to our new (not yet created) "recomendation" Shelf.

I just finished Brandon Mull's A World Without Heroes which is the first book in his new series, The Beyonders. It was good, but I didn't like it as much as the Fablehaven books. However, I also just finished City of Fallen Angels by Cassandra Clare. I loved it! I thought it was just as good as the three books that preceded it, if not better. My favorite character is hard to choose. I was surprised at how much of Simon was in the book, and I have always liked Magnus's personality... And, of course, Jace because he's hot and sarcastic :)

I've never read the maze runner. I've seen it at the library and thought about picking it up a few times, but I haven't yet... What is it about?
Right now, I'm reading the curse of the Wendigo by rick yancey. I really love the book, and the main character, will henry, is really adorable. The only thing I don't like is how scary the book is. O_O This one actually gave me nightmares!!! Can you believe it? thats never happened to me after reading a book before!

Well, its about this crazy man who hunts monsters, and his young assistant. basically, the story is just the journal of will henry (the assistant) and it tells of all his adventures with the monstromologist (monster hunter). They are really exciting, but extremely graphic. I definately reccomend them, but only if you like gory stuff.

Maze Runner is great, i mean it did surprise me with the end, and how the story is tell. I HAVE to read the second because the story never gonna end here. So yeah i think you'll like it. :-)

Think I am reading Hell by Robert Olen Butler by Robert Olen Butler. Not very far into it yet, but so far an interesting concept.

One of the books I recently read that I absolutely LOVED was Delirium (Delirium, #1) by Lauren Oliver by Lauren Oliver. My favorite character was probably Lena, because she grew so much during the book. Although, Alex did sound pretty hot. LOL.

Well Abbey's best friend drowned in a river and while she is at the funeral she see's a guy watching from a little while away with bright white blonde hair(I love his hair and eyes). Pretty soon she has fallen in love with him but then she finds out he's been dead for three years and she thinks that she's going crazy. In the second book she realises that she didn't make him up and she visits his grave. The last words of that book were the worst cause they were "Im not ready" which really sucked cause she was about to die and the third book hasn't come out yet. The way I explained it doesn't make the book sound very good but it actually is.You should read it

That sounds interesting. I think I will read it. I just finished Holly bennet's new book, Shapeshifter. I liked it, but the story ended a little abruptly. I was dissapointed. Now i'm reading Dead Beautiful, but since I'm only on page 18, I don't have a clear opinion of the book yet.

message 20: by Think (new)

Think Ok. So, I finished Hell. It was at least interesting, so I gave it 3 stars. Although some parts were disgusting, (they are in hell) the ending at least gave me a lot to think about. If anyone else has read it I would like to discuss it!
Now I am reading City of Bones (The Mortal Instruments, #1) by Cassandra Clare and I really like it so far.

So right now I'm reading the rest of P.C Cast's books (the ones not realted to the house of night series) and I really like the way these ones are written. Unlike HoN, the Partholon series does not have to be read in order, and each book is it's own complete story. Its nice to not have to read a gazillion just to find out what happens at the end.

message 22: by Think (new)

Think Ok, finally on City of Fallen Angels (The Mortal Instruments, #4) by Cassandra Clare . I read some reviews on GoodReads that said it sucked. So far, I am about 70 pages in and I don't think it sucks. lol But, I have loved all of the books so far, so I am kind of biased.

Right now i'm reading My Soul to Take (Soul Screamers, #1) by Rachel Vincent and it's pretty good so far... it's not the best book i've ever read but not every book is going to be :)

So, I'm finally starting that Auralia's color book (which is the first one in the series of that book I won on the goodreads give aways page) and I'm really looking forward to it. It has good reviews so I'm hoping it will be really awsome!

Oh my gosh, that is an AMAZING book. I think Will is my favorite character, but I agree, it's reallllllly hard to pick :) I hope you enjoy it! Right now, I just finished The Kitchen Boy by Robert Alexander, and I'm going to start reading Fahrenheit 451 when my dad finds his copy of it.

Oh! I've never seen that one before. I might have to read it. I'm about halfway through "Auralia's colors" By Jeffery Overstreet. So far, its well written but it doesn't make much sense.
