Samm Woodcock I cried like a baby! These books are so good!

Marjorie De Los Reyes did i get emotional?
OF COURSE I DID!
I was (and still i am) really into their story! I really really love this book! While I was reading this, I was crying. I dunno. Maybe because I just really carried-away by their story...

Ellen I did cry, but I did the ugly cry for the second one.

~My Book Obsession~ I cried with both books. I loved this story so much!!!!

message 55: by Bridget (new)

Bridget Moore Loved this book! I am sooooo glad Mia and Adam finally got back together at the end! And the ending itself? So sweet! One of the best sequeles of all time!

Valerie This book made me cry, smile and feel good inside. I love it. It's unforgettable and unique.

Maddie When I first read it I did cry a little but whenever i got even close to crying i would stop reading for a bit then go back. However i recently listened to the audio version of each book and I cried my eyes out. Just hearing everything emotional part read to you in the tone you know they had to be saying it in just broke my heart. It truly is one of the greatest novels i have ever read/listened to!

IslaRose Claire wrote: "I cried whilst reading WHERE SHE WENT, not so much in IF I STAY. Both were incredible books though!"

Same here :) Flipped out at the part where they were fighting and she was telling him why she hated him... had to slam the book shut and fight the tears for a sec. Beautiful book!!!

Kathy I sobbed big heaving sobs with If I Stay and I loved it still it was so good, but so so sad. And with Where she went I did but more than before the end I was getting upset and frustrated cause I thought Adam and Mia weren't going to end up together, and that was just not acceptable after what they both went through. Yeah I really liked them both. I hear that If I Stay is going to be made into a movie YAY!!

Janis I cried like a baby when I read If I Stay. Seriously I could barely see the page through my tears but with Where She Went I cried tears of happiness when the finally got back together at the end. Loved both of these books!

Annabel Parado i luv it!! even though they make me cry once again...I love Adam and Mia...

Mahlyn very emotional

Wendy I hadn't cried that much since 13 Reasons Why.

Julie Super emotional.....even though I didn't cry
~J

Claudia Marcela I cried a lot with both books. Reading this book is very intense.

Darlene I didn't really cry at all in the first book, but the second made me tear up a bit.

Emily M. Sara wrote: "Am I the only one that didn't like this book? They walked around the city and talked. Both of them got everything they ever wanted except eachother. Blah"

I think I liked If I Stay better I mean I liked how it was in Adam point of view, but it just kept going on and on about the city and I was just sitting there thinking ok come on I just want you to fall in love with Mia already.

message 68: by Ali (new) - rated it 5 stars

Ali I didn't cry but I probably should have. It's that type of book. I almost did.

message 69: by Sonia (last edited Apr 07, 2012 02:49PM) (new) - rated it 3 stars

Sonia Jarmula I was really depressed during the two or three days that I read this book, it was really emotional and made me think about how fragile life is, how everything can change in the blink of an eye, and how I would feel if I lost my own family. I don't think I would stay, and if I did, it would only because they would want me to.

message 70: by Hope (new) - rated it 5 stars

Hope i stayed depressed for an entire week after reading it
even with the happy ending

Rahel Abraham fuck yeah i got emotional you'd have to be made of stone not to

message 72: by Kate (last edited Mar 12, 2013 05:11AM) (new) - rated it 5 stars

Kate Oh. my. I reread this every time!

Emilyx Did I get emotional? You should've seen me! I was crying so bad I almost couldn't see the words! When reading, and this may sound a bit cheesy, I felt like my heart was weighed down, twisted, and clouded.

Nicole i loved the book, i choked up a few times but i didnt cry or anything, i honestly havent read if i stay but just by reading this book, i already knew whathad happend in the first one. the book was the most amazing book i have ever read. :)

Melina I didn't even come close to tearing up on either. Poorly written with poor characters, but better than If I Stay.

At least the ending was decent enough. Even if it was cheesy

KarenH Rahel wrote: "fuck yeah i got emotional you'd have to be made of stone not to"

Exactly! I listened to the audiobook and the narrator was excellent. Loved Adam!

Jedidiah Danae I soo love the book! Books actually! Both of them are so amazing! I got so emotional and it made me cry. I am so inlove with Mia and Adam right now.

Nazaree It's 3am when i finished the book. I cried myself to sleep.

Mikiahla I got laughed at by my aunt who recommended the book and my parents for crying

message 80: by Gigi (new) - rated it 4 stars

Gigi I cried a lot while reading If I Stay. But here in Where She Went, it made me feel sad, giddy and happy :)

Danielle Yes!! i could feel them welling up and in seconds they poured

Diana ❀ ☺ i cried..this was a good book :)

Sara. I did! It was really emotional and just beautiful written.

Melodie IF I stay and Were she went were two very beautiful books ! I really felt Adam and Mia's sadness, heartbreak, joy and love ! Gayle Forman is an amazing story teller ! And I'm really looking forward to reading more of her books !

message 85: by [deleted user] (new)

If I Stay- cried throughout and sobbed at the end for like an hour.
love it:)

Deborah I'd say I cried through probably one-quarter of the book, and continue to get misty-eyed every time I think of it a year later. It might just be time for a reread!

message 87: by Jess (new) - rated it 4 stars

Jess I am currently in the process of finishing "Where She Went"... but I didn't cry at all through "If I Stay". I had a hard time feeling whatever I was supposed to get out of it. I didn't rate it very high (maybe four stars)...but I just felt that there was so much more that the story could have contained. I'm not saying it wasn't good. Because I liked it enough to read the second book...but I think it was just a story. I didn't feel any attachment to it.

Daisymae Elizabeth Rhodes A beautiful book, so well better written than I imagined and ohmygosh I did cry

message 89: by Jordan (new) - added it

Jordan I got so emotional. I was crying so hard in the first book. I cried in the second as well.
It's a great book to get emotional over. I could feel what she was feeling. The author has a definite way with words. I'm so glad I read it!

Kasey I seriously use a hole box of tissues worth just from reading both If I Stay and Where She Went. They are perfectly written and life changing books. Some books make me believe in true love I'm proud to say these 2 did.

Yanery I think I clicked a bit more with Adam than with Mia so I enjoyed this one more. And I love the whole "quest" aspect to it because it gave them a sort of time limit and kind of amped up the tension. I loved both books.

message 92: by Paw (new) - rated it 5 stars

Paw Awww :( I did get emotional.

I love Adam. And his words.. His words.
Its so perfect. Heart felt.

Ninia Cataag I really love this book because it was like I'm riding in an emotional roller coaster ahahha lol I love the pl and the message of the story that Mia has given in the story I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT... but honestly in the second book I'm not really fan of it I DON'T KNOW WHY i liked the first book better

Sthep I did not cried in any book, but both of them were emotional. They were. I don't know if I'm the only one, but I didn't cried for, I don't know, their lost/found romance or... stuff. No. I got emotional when I realized how miserable they were. I felt emotional because they were my favorite characters ever and while reading in the two books I felt like I was there, and they were my friends and I worried about them. So, I was so worried for Adam, because he had changed, he was unhappy, no trace of that boy anymore. And for Mia. I almost cried when I saw who she had become. She was cold, and, and... Selfish? All her reasons (Or well, not all of them, just the ones with Adam in it) were selfish to me. ¡And she even admitted it!
¿Did anyone felt emotional for it? ¿Just me? ¿Really? :/

Kylie I cried when Adam realized that he had to make good on his promise to let Mia go. But I cried the most when Mia said, "I needed someone to hate, and you're the one I love the most, so it fell to you." I found that line beautiful, probably because it showed how the lines between love and hate can be blurred even though it should be clear. But, yes, I mostly cried when Mia told him that she'd hated him. When she said, "You made me stay." I liked Where She Went much better than If I Stay because it felt much more emotionally raw and real.

Ramisha Sara wrote: "Am I the only one that didn't like this book? They walked around the city and talked. Both of them got everything they ever wanted except eachother. Blah"

Ok well I liked the idea and the characters and the flashback were nice too but then down the road it got tiring.. I didn't dislike it but I don't get why people gave this book 5 stars, I gave it a 3. I didn't think it was worth five stars and II had a lot of hopes getting into it.

Ramisha True, although I didn't, well I have mixed emotions about this book, but yeah don't think I'll forget it, moved me, and I was listening to this piano number while reading this series that just heightened the emotions at some parts.

Guys seriously please give this a chance, listen to all of it and remember the ending scene of If I Stay and the scene when Mia comes back to Adam in Where She Went when she leaves him on the boat and various others.

Masara Nishida- Soshite 2 nin wa

Sadly I couldn't find a better version except on mp3

message 98: by Lisa (new) - rated it 5 stars

Lisa Lamere-krzysiak I did get emotional. It was a great book I really liked it.

Loony When Adam sang to Mia at the last part of the book. DIES.

Sidra Honestly, I like Where she went more than If I Stay, maybe because in contemporary romance all we get is the girl's perspective and it was definitely a change to read a guy's view. Plus, I just loved Adam, even though the ending could have been better, but the novels itself had so much drama and pain so that's why writer decided to with the Cinderella-type-of-Happy-Ending!
