SOLVED!: Advanced society, too many jobs mechanized [s]

Hi,

I hope someone can help me find this book. It's about an advanced society in which many jobs have been eliminated, because efficiency is high and many jobs are done by robots. Upon completing their education, young adults are given aptitude tests to determine the jobs they will have. If the job they are matched with is no longer necessary, they become one of the unemployed and must live in certain areas specifically for the unemployed. The rest of society looks down on them even though they had no control over their unemployment. The book focuses on a group of friends, some of whom became unemployed and try to survive in the zones to which they are confined, and some of whom are initially employed but ultimately wind up with their friends. They are asked to participate in a "game" that eventually improves their lives.

Yep! I read this book a few months ago:) It is Invitation to the Game by Monica Hughes. They recently rereleased it as just "The Game" (The Game)-->that's the one I read.
