I'm not sure. I'm reading the first one now, but I haven't read the other series.

I'm not loving this as a series. i think it's okay to pick up one and read it, but reading them all just isn't for me. They're all based around the same event. Almost like Midnight Sun where you get an event from different angles. The problem is, Gleason includes the perspectives of characters in books that aren't their own. So, in book one, we get to see moments between Dimitri and his girl even though it's about Voss and Angelica. Then, when Dimitri's book comes about, the same scene is included again. Good idea, but by putting the scenes in more than once it just made the second read boring rather than exciting. If she had stuck with each character having their own book then it would have worked out, but because they didn't.... Not so much.

I didn't get approved for book 3, but I think I'm okay with that.

I like the fact that in book one you see the beginning of their relationship from an outside perspective, but then when she has to go over it again from Dmitri's or whatshername's perspective it lessens it somehow. I guess it's weird for me to describe, but the effect isn't the same.

I had no desire to read the third book.

Carrie (Care) (care76) | 1746 comments That sounds confusing. I really liked Gadella Vampires so I had high hopes for this series. I don't think the two series really have anything to do with each other though. I guess I will stick to reading her PA zombie pnr series. I have been meaning to read those for a while.
