I finished reading
by Heather Gudenkauf yesterday - It's a brilliant novel. I couldn't put it down! I honestly couldn't recommend it highly enough. Now I'm about to start the 9th book in the Stephanie Plum series
by Janet Evanovich.
I've finished the 9th book in the Stephanie Plum series (and the best one so far)
by Janet Evanovich. Now I'm reading
by Donald McCaig. It's Gone With the Wind from Rhett Butler's point of view.

read it!! ^^^ it's okay. Not as good as Scarlett, which is the "sequel" whereas RBP is sort of a "prequel" in a way. It starts before and ends after GWTW. Even though neither of them are TECHNICALLY a se/prequel as they weren't written by MM.
and i also just recently finished the ninth book in the Stephanie Plum series, and i have to go really slowly through the series. If i don't, than i find i get really annoyed of Stephanie and her stupid repeated mistakes which she NEVER seems to learn from. So I'm probably not going to be picking up the tenth one for a while.
I finished
by Donald McCaig earlier today. Basically the storyline of the novel is Gone With the Wind from Rhett Butler's point of view and it was a bit of a disappointment really. Gone With the Wind is one of my favourite novels and I found all the characters in RBP, even the major ones of Rhett and Scarlett, are out of character. There is also a lot of errors that contradict the original, characters dying when they lived in GWTW and vice versa, Melanie knowing about Scarlet being in love with her husband, etc. As a standalone historical fiction novel, Rhett Butler's People is okay but as a complement to Gone With the Wind it sucks! Now I'm about to start
by Diane Chamberlain.
I finished reading
by Diane Chamberlain just a few minutes ago. It's a brilliant read! It took me a couple of chapters to get into this novel but once I did I was hooked! Every time you think you've guessed the big secret, it moves to another level and you realise what you think you've guessed is only a tiny piece of the puzzle. I couldn't put it down! Next I plan to read
by John Steinbeck.
Yesterday I finished reading
by John Steinbeck. It's an extremely short but nevertheless fantastic novel. I didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I did. The ending is so incredibly moving that I cried while reading it. I truly can't recommend this novel enough. John Steinbeck is an excellent author (and one of my favourite writers)! Today I've started reading
by Jay Asher.
I finished reading
by Jay Asher and Carolyn Mackler earlier today. It's just an young adult romance but it's very entertaining and funny. I loved all the 1990's nostalgia!Next I'm going to start reading a Stephanie Plum book:
by Janet Evanovich.
Yesterday I finished
by Janet Evanovich. It's the tenth novel in the Stephanie Plum series. This novel had a far more serious and darker tone than the other books. It was a gripping and exciting read with an excellent plot and great characters. Right now, I'm a couple of chapters into
by Ian Serraillier. This is a re-read. I first read in when I was in school. I remember liking it but I don't remember much about the plot.
I am in the middle of Emma by Jane Austen and *happy day* it's NOT as sucky as Sense and Sensibility and Pride and Prejudice were!! I actually am really enjoying Emma.
I just finished reading
by Wilkie Collins and I was quite pleased with how unexpected everything turned out to be! I enjoyed it at least as a break from my studying.
I'm reading The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath right now as well as All the King's Men by Robert Penn Warren. They're both amazing books!
Julia wrote: "I just finished reading

I finished reading
by Nicholas Sparks a few hours ago. The book was a bit of a disappointment really. I've read most of Spark's books and I think I'm too used to his writing style. I found the plot of the story to be extremely predictable and slightly unrealistic. But if you've never read a Nicholas Spark novel before, you'd probably like it. Now I'm about to start reading
by John Grisham. It's the october monthly read in a Goodreads group I'm in and I want to get a head start on it.
Jessica wrote: "I'm reading The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath right now as well as All the King's Men by Robert Penn Warren. They're both amazing books!"I just finished reading The Bell Jar :) good stuff
I've finished reading
by John Grisham last night and this morning I've started
by Christopher Ransom.
I just finished The Lighthouse by Alison Moore which I really liked and blizted through. And I am now reading Dracula by Bram Stoker for a kind of Halloween feel! Also, got The Shining by Stephen King lined up for after this. But there are just so many things I want to read at the moment! I wanted to read along with the group with On the Road but not sure I'll manage it this month.
I just started reading the fault in our stars by John Green... Again! And I am re-reading the Harry Potter series! Looks like October is a reminiscing month for me.. Bringing back the old favourites :)
I'm reading The House At Riverton by Kate Morton - it surprised me several times, and so far it made a good impression as an Edwardian drama novel.
I finished reading
by Christopher Ransom this morning. This book was one of the worst horror novels I've read in my entire life. It wasn't even the slightest bit scary. The author's writing style is terrible and I felt like most of the book was written by a horny 12-year-old. The whole plot was confusing and I disliked all the characters. I ended up not really caring what happened to any of them. This book is definitely one to avoid. Now I'm about to begin
by Stephen King.

I just finished
by Stephen King earlier today and I absolutely loved it. I'm a huge fan of Stephen King and The Green Mile has got to be one of the best novels he has ever written. In fact, it's one of the best novels I have ever read in my entire life. Once I started it, I couldn't put it down! It is very beautifully written and extremely moving at times. The plot is original, gripping and heart-breaking. I'd give this book more than five stars if I could! My full review is here. Now I'm about to start
by Shirley Jackson.
Doreen wrote: "I've just finished rereading the Harry Potter series a couple of days ago... have to admit I'm now missing Hogwarts a little...Started the Annotated Sherlock Holmes (Novels) today and I'm loving ..."
Oh! I just read your comment and I'm in the same situation, missing Hogwards and reading again my old friend Harry Potter. Sometimes I wonder if it's my childhood or Harry Potter that I miss?
Earlier, I finished reading
by Shirley Jackson. I was disappointed by this book to be honest. I felt the novel did not live up to the reputation it has gotten. I just felt like it was missing something. Plus I disliked all the characters and the strange dialogue between them really annoyed me. This is one novel where the movie, or in this case movies, are better than the book. My full review is here.Next I'm going to read
by Anne Rice.
And I'm also reading First Grave on the Right by Darynda Jones because my sister and her friend read it and are begging me to get into the series.
i'm currently reading "the time machine" by h.g. wells.after that i'm going to start reading the harry potter series since i've never read them before&want to understand the movies better
Earlier today, I finished reading
by Anne Rice. The Witching Hour is an extremely long novel, 1207 pages, but don't let that put you off reading as once you open the first page you soon find yourself completely absorbed in the chilling tale of the Mayfair Witches. This novel has a spellbinding, engrossing, well-written tale with complex and mysterious characters. There are plenty of compelling twists and turns in the plot to keep you interested and the suspense is drawn out to perfection. The novel is completely unpredictable, I found the ending to be quite a shock! My full review can be found here. Now, I'm about to start
by Washington Irving and
by Mary Shelley.
I am reading The Invisible Circus by Jennifer Egan. She writes rather poetically its wonderful so far.
Earlier I finished reading
by Mary Shelley. This novel turned out to be nothing like what I was expecting. I was expecting a generic horror story about a monster but what I got was so much more complex, it's actually quite a philosophical story really. I was extremely surprised and impressed by the actual story itself. I really enjoyed this book and I'm happy I finally got around to reading this classic. My full review is here. I'm planning to read
by Janet Evanovich next.
I'm reading Lord of the Rings for the first time, as well as Mansfield Park by Jane Austen and The Warden by Anthony Trollope.
I finished reading
by Janet Evanovich this morning. Stephanie's adventures still make me laugh after 11 novels. There are so many hilarious and witty scenes in this book. But I have to admit I was a bit annoyed by Stephanie in this book. I just wish she'd finally choose between Joe Morelli and Ranger! http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...Now I'm reading
by Kate Morton.
I'm starting the Black Dagger Brotherhood series by JR Ward. I'm about a third of the way through the first book. I'm also hoping to return to the Richard Castle (!!!!) latest read "Frozen Heat" which I've been slacking on due to a new job and some Christmas knitting.
I'm half done with "On the road" by Jack Kerouac, and I don't understand why do so many people say that it's not worth the time! I, for one, love it!
Literally just finished ""The Help" and "The Lake of Dead Languages" (for the second time) am in the process of reading "Watership Down" and "You Can't Go Home Again".
Esther wrote: "got hooked on the song of ice and fire saga. just started with the third a storm of swords. splendid opening!"Agreed! I'm just starting a feast for crow, have you tried watching the HBO serie? Brilliant!
Doreen wrote: "I've just finished rereading the Harry Potter series a couple of days ago... have to admit I'm now missing Hogwarts a little...Started the Annotated Sherlock Holmes (Novels) today and I'm loving ..."
I always miss Hogwart, as an 8 years old I was secretly hoping to received a letter from an owl on my 11 birthday...never happened, life sucks

This is why I read and write fanfiction.
