It's all relative. I'm probably a nerd compared to Jenna Jameson, but not compared to this guy.

D-E-V-O.

Let's face it: once you have kids, you're a nerd or at least terminally uncool in the fruit of your loins' eyes.

message 8: by Jonathan (new)

Jonathan Lopez | 4726 comments I don't have kids, so what's my excuse?

Yes, a bunch of nerds.

message 9: by ms.petra (last edited Apr 06, 2011 05:55AM) (new)

ms.petra (mspetra) sweet, lovable nerds.

message 10: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca White (rebecca_white) | 1027 comments I've long described myself to people on the internet (who I guess are the only ones who need one) as a combination bohemian/nerd.

But you know what? That word has more or less come to mean anybody with any kind of hobby or interest at all besides watching TV, which is really sad. I think I'm just going to go with bohemian.

message 11: by Heidi (new)

Heidi (heidihooo) | 10825 comments I want to be the pink and purple kind... super sour.

message 12: by [deleted user] (new)

What kind of a fucking ridiculous question is that, RA?

Of course I'm a nerd.

RandomAnthony | 14536 comments What kind of a fucking ridiculous question is that, RA?

Heh. You waited two and a half years to get around to that response, Gustavo?

message 14: by [deleted user] (last edited Apr 06, 2011 09:47AM) (new)

If TC members are nerds. Yay for being a nerd. TC are the coolest, most wonderful group of nerds by a million mile.
Just don't ask me to dress like the guy in msg 3. I am too shy to expose that much flesh.

message 15: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) We're too cool for our own good.

message 16: by Jammies (new)

Jammies I don't think I'm smart enough to be a nerd. :(

message 17: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) False modesty doesn't become you, Jammies.

message 18: by [deleted user] (new)

What I'm saying is that my nerd status is pretty obvious.

message 19: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Yeah, I'm oblivious, too.

message 20: by Aynge (new)

Aynge (ayngemac) | 1202 comments I am, definitely.

Heh. I knew what you meant. I'm just surprised that no one ever said that about my dumbass questions.:)

Jackie "the Librarian" | 8991 comments I just posted a picture of myself dressed as Princess Leia yesterday. I think that answers the question. :)

message 23: by Jammies (new)

Jammies Larry wrote: "False modesty doesn't become you, Jammies."

It wasn't false modesty! I suck at math and science and all kinds of cool nerdy things.

message 24: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Doesn't mean you're not smart enough. You're just maybe not a science or math nerd.

message 25: by Stacia (the 2010 club) (last edited Apr 06, 2011 02:26PM) (new)

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Revenge of the Nerds was on tv last night. I have no point, really.

Oh yes, the topic. Nerds. We're all nerds.

message 26: by [deleted user] (new)

Imma nerd.

message 27: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Are you sure, Esme?

message 29: by [deleted user] (last edited Apr 06, 2011 02:38PM) (new)

Positive. For all things academic, at least. Can't dress like one, though.

message 30: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Well okay then.

message 31: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Check.

message 32: by [deleted user] (new)

So what kind of a nerd are you, Larry?

Lyzzibug ~Still Breathing~ (lyzzibug) | 708 comments And proud of it!

message 34: by Shannon (new)

Shannon | 94 comments My husband has never read a book in his entire life. He doesn't understand how I can sit here and read for hours on end. Day after day. So I tell him, You know I've been deer hunting before. It sucks. It's cold, and wet, and I NEVER see a deer! I don't understand how you can deer hunt day in and day out every single day the entire season! (course he DOES actually SEE DEER!) The reason I don't see any deer is probably cause I'm too busy looking at everything else. ADD and deer hunting don't really mix. lol
But yeah I'm a nerd. More specifically a science nerd. I "just get" science and biology better than any other subject.

message 35: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) I'm a history, science, and sci-fi nerd, I guess, Esme..

message 36: by Shannon (new)

Shannon | 94 comments Larry wrote: "I'm a history, science, and sci-fi nerd, I guess, Esme.."

I had a professor in college, history, he LOVED the Civil War. I never could get to into it. He told me History repeats it'self. so I have to learn it to I'm prepared for what lies ahead. I told him I like to be suprised. lol

Félix (habitseven) You are not.

message 39: by Phoenix (new)

Phoenix (phoenixapb) | 1619 comments I haven't read through this tread yet but my first response is, YES! I wouldn't hang out around TC if you all weren't as nerdy as I am. Besides, nerd is the new cool!

message 40: by Janice (new)

Janice (jamasc) Indubitably!

message 41: by Jim (new)

Jim | 6484 comments I'm more of a dweeb.

message 42: by Helena (new)

Helena | 1056 comments Nerds are the new cool. Without a doubt. Check out Dr. Spencer Reid’s page on f/book. He’s a nerd and every girl I know positively lusts after him.

I’m a nerd. So I’m told.

message 43: by [deleted user] (new)

Isn't Reid totally lust-worthy???

message 44: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Esme, you're too young to know about lust-worthiness.

Oh what the hell am I talking about?

message 45: by Phoenix (new)

Phoenix (phoenixapb) | 1619 comments Nice try though, Larry :)

message 46: by [deleted user] (new)

Yes, what are you talking about??? Aren't the high school years supposed to be full of infatuation and lust?

message 47: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) I was confused momentarily.

message 48: by [deleted user] (new)

Happens to me all the time :)

message 49: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) You're too young to be con ... oh never mind.

message 50: by Justin (new)

Justin Valentino (JustinV) Reid, Esme? Really?
