Thanks for letting me come around this group of readers. I am an author who is trying to make it out of the mail room and into the publishing room. I will like very much to share my work here. I see that this is a very distinct set of people with a very wide liking to different genres of literature. Please come check out
and help us get some reviews up on amazon.com. I would like very much to talk about the book with the people who take a moment to read it.
Hi everyone! I'm Kenya D. Williamson. I'm happy to join the group. I'm a novelist, screenwriter and actress from Levittown, PA. Currently, I live in Los Angeles. I wrote Depth of Focus: A Novel. So far, the book's getting great reviews. But, I'd love more. One thing that makes my work unique? All my fiction is made up of poetry without stanzas.

I don't think I said hi in here, so hi :) Hope to get to know you all over time. So, do we post the reviews we post on Goodreads here too? Or whichever ones we feel like doing?
~Mysti
I am SO bad about not putting my reviews here!! I think either putting the entire review OR the link would be fine.Cam or Amy may correct me on that... ;-)
Hello to Greg, Kenya, and Mysti!!
This is a fairly easy group - I'm not overly strict with rules or anything like that, so feel free to browse around and see if there is any conversation you want to jump in on!
You can post any and all of your reviews on here that you may write. You can put your reviews directly on here, or you can post a link. It is entirely up to you.
If you are an author looking for reviews, you have come to the right place, we are growing by leaps and bounds and always seem to have people looking for great books to read!

Thank you for the warm welcome, Amy! I'll be back -- probably after a couple hours of sleep.Have a great night! :)
Hi everyone, my name's Emma, I'm 27 and I'm from the UK.
Thank you for letting me join your group - I'm still figuring things out in terms of posting reviews and getting involved in discussions but I love to read and share my thoughts with other bookworms and this looks like the perfect place to do that.

Hiya, Emma!! Welcome to our cozy little part of GoodReads. We are happy to have you here, and hope you plan on joining in all of the fun that happens here! :)
You are in a great place to meet new friends, talk about your favorite, or least favorite, piece of literature, and just talk about the randomness that is waiting to escape us all!

Hi, Steve, and welcome to Bedlam. Relax and enjoy the view from your padded cell (the ones Amy claims we don't have). You're not the only "old fart" around here, if it's any consolation.
You'll enjoy it, so long as we don't fart in unison.

I can tell you are going to fit in perfectly around here...
Welcome to our group. As long as you don't mind chatty women, wetsuits, and cheese... :-)
Nice to have you here Stephen!! This is a great group to be a part of, we have loads of fun, talk about almost everything you can think of, and make new friends all the time. It's a great community!
@ phil - we can't go around advertising the padded rooms just yet, somethings have to remain a mystery!! :)

Wetsuits? I'm intrigued - is that some kind of uniform we have to wear whilst online, lol?

Not uniform, just don't be caught without one. They're not the real problem -- trying to dance in swim fins is hardest, that and the hundred metre dash with facemask and air tank.
Hi everyone. =) My name's Charmaine, I'm 20 years old and I live in Wales. I love to review books, I mainly post on my blog but this group seems like a great place to post my reviews as I write them.
Stephen wrote: "Thanks for all the welcomes, folks! Sounds like my kind of group. I've always been looking for a bunch of harmless lunatics I could blend in with."*contemplates harmless*
Stephen wrote: "'Harmless' = apparently unlikely to commit murder, rape, or other major felonies."Okay...I guess that fits then :-).
Hello to Charmaine and Tony! Welcome to the group! As you can already tell by the conversation going on all around us, this is a very upbeat, fun group to be a part of. We all help each other out, help promote one another, and share anything we think may be of help to someone! Welcome!!!
At Phil and Steve - You guys are going to end up the best of friends, I can already tell!! :)

Thanks for the welcome Amy, I loved how much fun everyonew seemed to be having which is why I joined. can't wait to share my reviews with everyone. =)
Stephen wrote: "Add swim fins to the wetsuit, face mask and air tank and you couldn't do a hundred meter dash in less than 24 hours."Nobody said it was easy -- but it feels good when you finish...
Wotcha peeps. See you haven't got any more sensible while I was away shifting furniture... and whatever is that smell?!
Oh it's the cheese again. Who bought "Stinking Bishop"?
Welcome to all the new guys too! See you're taking to the fart / wetsuit / cheese-related banter with some aplomb (and don't start with the fruit jokes now, it's too early and I haven't had my coffee yet!)

Hi, Firstly i love reading, though think prob my reviewing skills could improve. i tend to try not to put much in about the story itself as i dont like reading those sort of reviews that giveaway too much of what happens in the book. I tend to comment more on if i enjoyed it why? did i like characters? did it make me want to read next book? i also comment if it was "easy" to read, scenes well described etc.

Hi Sandra, I sometimes think my reviews are a bit vague too because I hate stumbling across spoilers myself. I tend to follow a pattern of; What is the plot about, what did I like, what didn't I like and then an overall summary - so the way you go about your reviews sounds right up my street.
