Hi my name is Latif Mercado, I just released my first novel called Freestyle for Life. It's available on Amazon Kindle, just .99 cents of course... need those readers! Anyhow, I've had a pretty decent run so far, 43 incredible reviews and no, I didn't pay for them... But! I'm a bit nervous coming in here. Amy, I love what you did with this group, but I feel that my book is about to be humbled. Well, I'm ready! Thank you for allowing me to join and please... go easy, okay?

:: waves :: Hi Mandi! I've never met Collette here but there are like 1000 members! Actually I'm making a joke b/c we JUST got to the 1000 member mark this holiday season :) Welcome aboard 1000+

I am not yet published :-( and the universe seems to be stacked against me but...I Do. Not. Quit. Ever. So I should have SciFi Thriller (dystopian future) out shortly under a pen name (Marjorie F. Baldwin or "Friday") and hopefully this summer I'll have my first Romantic Suspense (Lacey / Rainey Story) out under my real name. I'm pretty chatty. Okay, I'm prolific and never shut up but I work a day job that silences me for 3-4 days a week so it all evens out.

Jump in (anywhere), have fun. No one here bites--well, not unless you ask them to with a pretty please and sugar on top :)

Oh yea... if you are silenced that long, no wonder you are chatty!! Lol. :o) Well, at least I think this is the group Collette sent me to! She said creative reviews so unless there is another one, I'm thinking I'm in the right place. I think this group looks great though so if, during my craziness of juggling writing, illustrating, photography & three kids, I accidentally joined the wrong group well I'll just say it was meant to be! I wish I had more days in my time to hang :^) This group is THE Creative Reviews on Goodreads. There's also a Facebook Page (and you should add your own FB and Twitter and Blog to the various threads for those things - other members will follow you back! It's like magic *hee hee*)

Go through the topics, you'll see the threads then add you information via comment on the right one ;)

Sorry, Mandi, I think it was a semantics confusion and I'm sure you're not the only new member confused (I didn't know about this for a couple of months after I joined the group) which is why I mention it now. I'm sure others joining or reading this page will benefit, too. What I meant was go to the folder titled:

Member's Blog's, Twitters...etc

Inside that folder, is a list of discussion topics; find the ones called:

Your Twitter - THAT'S IT!! :)

Your Blog - THAT'S IT!! :)

and others--which, I just this second found out included a topic for adding my book to the group's bookshelf? I didn't know we did that! haha See? Everyone learns something everyday--either that, or we're dead already.

Not all of the discussion topics are CORRECT (that is NOT the place for authors to solicit readers or vice a versa, forex, but someone started such a thread there). There's a whole separate folder of discussions (Looking to Review) for people who want to review books to post and solicit authors. (and vice a versa) Rummage around to see where to put your Facebook or Google Plus or any other deets.

Thanks so much Georgina. I'm sure there's no chance of it getting to first place, but I'm totally surprised and pleased to be in 2nd place on my first novel. If a miracle happens and it moves into first place, I'll probably have a heart attack. No. I'll definitely have a heart attack! LOL.

Hi Everyone! I've been lurking for a bit and decided to introduce myself. My name is Marla, I'm fairly new to Goodreads as a reader and I've been stalking this group because I'm also a writer. I've been a little overwhelmed (in the best possible way) by the resources and people here. I have self-published one narrative nonfiction book and would describe myself as an enthusiastic writer but a reluctant publisher/promoter, perhaps more so because of my book's topic.
