They were probably singing to you, Cambria, trying to make friends.
Poor, misunderstood Emu's.

Hey, Splitter -- Ben Franklin did the next best thing -- he got a wild turkey on a whiskey label.
Did Mike have any offspring? There seem to be a lot of politicians still strutting around with about the same amount of brains.
J.A. wrote: "Have I mentioned our turkey and its....psychological issues?"You mentioned the bossy bantam, but I don't remember you saying anything about the traumatized turkey. Do tell...
If we have to go back to raising our own food, I'll be in trouble too.Im not a hunter and could never eat anything that I met or raised.
I'd live on chocolate.....and coca cola....that works!

Ok, I am with Cam on this one!
That is twisted, sick and just plain cruel!
WHERE IN THE Heck do you come up with this stuff splitter?
I'm beginning to worry about you!
I relate, Cambria.Hey, I'm seriously thinking we should collect all these bird-related stories! We could call the collection "Encounters of the Poultry Kind" or "The Poultry Paparazzi" or...???!!!!
It's gotten a bit weird in here!! LOL!!
I hope I haven't missed any new members! If I have, WELCOME!!

There is NO way any of us could be normal and creative, normal will always fall to the wayside, thanks to creativity. And I'm glad. :)
There are new Bugs cartoons out now. Someone in the group told me about them, so I looked for them on TV. Talk about disappointment!
I just got the Creative Reviews "recap" in my Gmail and noticed two things I'm glad I missed:(1) running around naked versus showing the world my stories. Ummmm.....isn't there a Door Number 3? LOL Kidding, now that I'm actually publishing, I'm enjoying showing off my stuff. Books, not the other stuff. I'm 50 years old and keep forgetting I do NOT look like I keep thinking I do. I scare myself in the mirror sometimes when I walk by and forget I'm old now.
Also noticed someone (Katy?) said you'll never get authors to come here with all the running around naked....are you kidding? Naked, carrying torches and swinging chickens, you could not BEAT US to keep us away. Authors are CLAWING to associate with book readers and reviewers. Are they? We? I'm not really the only one here anymore...can't be!
(2) Sara Lee. This jingle is the source of my extreme hostility and distaste for the (mis)spelling of "Sara" without an "h" As I said, I'm 50 so I was 10ish when that jingle was popular and you know how elementary school kids are with singing jingles from TV. It was sheer torment for me. I hated it. Like they didn't already have enough to tease me about (I was a very skinny, bony kid, gawky and talked a lot then, too...and wrote weird stories with intensely vivid imaginary people in them - as a child it got me the school psychiatrist; as an adult, may it, ghods willing, get me the best seller lists!!)
Anyway, glad I miss the whole debate 4 days ago because I was way too busy to be distracted by this and man would I EVER have been distracted by this :) I'm good now and off for 4 brutal days solid work at the day job (grocery truck) ick. Since 0400 comes in just about 10 hrs, I'm off now and won't be back till Friday (with more freebies on my blog)

I can confirm that authors love to meet up, even virtually, with readers and reviewers. And it's actually a plus if you're naked, because then I don't feel so stressed about showing you my bare, stripped soul via my book.Just saying :)
@Sarah - ouch. Kids can be mean.@Amy - 'Looney' always brings to mind the $1 (Canadian) coin. And we're actually proud of that coin... What does that say about the whole country?!!

No I shouldn't!! I am way too snarky but more to the point, way too busy. But thank you for the awesomeness hugs. I'll take those any day! ^_^
Hey, gonna combine remarks here. I believe I missed another thread whilst I worked a 12 hr shift at my crap job (upside is my boss was there for 13 hrs *haha*)

When did you guys start talking about cartoons? And did you know Jeremy Rodden (@toonopolis) is blogging "requests only" as in you tell him what currently-running cartoon you want reviewed, discussed, dissected, and he'll blog it in October. Tweet at him to request he explain how the heck they "remake" a classic like Bugs and end up with Power Rangers. I'm sure Jeremy will know! he is a cartoon EXPERT He's also somewhere here on Goodreads but damned if I know where, sorry. Maybe in my friends list? OMG, I'm so embarrassed if he is. Okay, 1900 and I haven't eaten since 1130 this morning so tha-tha-that's all ffffolks!

Ok, after reading the thread AGAIN, Looney was brought up when discussing us and I took it into cartoons.
I still think you should do our recaps.
Congrats on the new hours of your job btw...lol

Splitter-I am not watching anything else you put on here about chickens, even if it is with Bill Cosby. When you write that zombie chicken book you let me know. :) I'll be the first to write a review. bah hahahaha.
Phil- their normal voice?? Emu's do not have a normal voice. they are growling because they are evil!
Cambria wrote: "Phil- their normal voice?? Emu's do not have a normal voice. they are growling because they are evil!"Are not!
Ok people, I have someone who is about to join but a little hesitant on how you approach all of you.I told him all he had to do was just say hi and throw out some money and chicken jokes but atlas, he isn't quite sure.
So....when you see Jarod pop in, be sure to give him a big fat warm welcome!!!
Thank you guys!
Jarod wrote: "haha now I wish I knew some chicken jokes :)"Your comment is just as funny, Jarod!
Welcome!!

Hi Jarod and other new people!Geez, this thread is where it's happening! Everyone is running around like a chicken with their head...oh, never mind.

Welcome Jarod. Get your gear off and jump right in. Don't worry if you can't remember any chicken jokes.Cambria has a love-hate relationship with chickens. She secretly loves them, but hates for anyone to know. That's why she pretends not to like emus.

Yeah, I'm the instigator of a lot of this. I'd say I'm sorry but I'm not. *evil grin*

Ohhh, I looooove anime and manga! For a good panty-shot, boobs bursting out of clothes fight story, read Battle Vixens by Yuji Shiozaki I actually enjoy the story and artwork. Lots of anatomy lessons there! LOL!
Jarod wrote: "haha now I wish I knew some chicken jokes :)"Hiya, Jarod! If your chicken jokes are corny, even better! Welcome! *shakes hand*
I've been gone since Friday; my family decided they needed my attention more and just when I was trying to finish up an editing job. *rolls eyes* I don't think I'll tell them about this next one, maybe they'll leave me alone!

Splitter, that was awful, about Mike. That poor thing, they should have put him down anyway.
OMG, I soooooo miss all the Bill Cosby records we had! Mom had collected pretty much all of them and she gave them to me when she *um-hum* left Dad. Then when I moved after my dad died, they disappeared. :( I'd love to find all of them on CD sometime.
