I read that article and heard that audio a few weeks ago. Truly horrifying what happened to Alexei Kosygin.
The Soviets truly had no empathy for the people they sent up into space. Not to mention they didn't have the same scientific horsepower that NASA possessed in order to win the space race.

What a tragic story, and what a friendship - giving your life to save your friend. I can't listen to the audio.
Was the space race worth it? After listening to this horrifying audio, I'm starting to wonder...
