Colleen that is part of the reason why I gave up the series--the theology was making me uncomfortable. And the truly terrible ending to her teen series. Between those two things I became really nitpicky and things that had endeared me earlier (Charley naming everything) became really annoying (did Darynda really just have Charley spend 17 pages trying to come up with a name for the bunion on her left toe?! Seriously?!) and then while I thought Reyes and Charley's relationship was adorable and hot and swoony and such Darynda mentioned in every.single.book how when they first met Reyes threatened to rape Charley. And it was never mentioned in a W in the actual F, or in any way should Charley hit the pause button in this relationship kind of way. It was always in a, "isn't he just the cutest thing?" jokey joke tone. Which didn't set well with me in book one and certainly didn't by the time I gave it up.

The naming thing drives me nuts too! Less is more.

Oh, boy.

Yeah it bothered me how no one talked about the rape threat in book one. It was like he did this, skip over. Why add it? Why not just have him make some other threat so that she would vamoose?

I think that if she would have just let it go--it was that in every book whenever Charley would go over the brief background of the other players in the book that was always mentioned. Um. Thats not sweet. Or sexy. Or hot. Just stop.
