Wow, way too many to choose from. Jammies, Sally, Jonathan so I can spend some time playing in the snow. Bunwat for a day, imagine being that clear with your thought processes and having a wealth of knowlege at your finger tips. I am with Misha about wanting to be Clark. (Clark would fit in really well in Australia). Barb so I could talk with an American accent. (just kidding) Shoot, now I'm in danger of offending everyone I haven't mentioned by mentioning too many people. I Wanna swap with everyone for a day so I could do a world tour. Yippee.

Why would Clark fit well in Australia? Is everyone astoundingly abrupt down there?

Sally (mrsnolte) | 17373 comments Mod
Yeah, the day Clark set me straight about AC/DC he and Sweeter were educating me in tandem.

It seems like Mr. Barb and RA would have a lot to talk about, bubble gum pop music loving wise, were they ever to mee.

meet.

Félix (habitseven) Mr. Barb.

If we talk weight wise, Mr Barb is probably equal to four and a half little girls.

Don't even get me started about Australian music, Gail. It's the best. Must've been great to grow up with all of it.

Dutch, you know this isn't the "If you are inebriated" thread, don't you?

message 60: by [deleted user] (new)

Clark, are you and Dutch related??

message 61: by [deleted user] (new)

Hahahahaha...I read that is "If you are inbred thread" *snicker*

I couldn't figure out what he was talking about, unless you were his sister or something.

message 62: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 13814 comments This is an adorable thread! Something nice to come back to. Mine might change but I think I'd like to be Bun for a day so I could have all the doggy knowledge and garden knowledge and book knowledge and a well behaved dog and some LA sunshine.

message 63: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 13814 comments THanks!

message 64: by [deleted user] (new)

Wait, SP...were you gone?

I was rambling away to you yesterday, are you telling me you weren't here and I was talking to myself?

message 65: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 13814 comments Where did you ramble to me yesterday? I haven't been here for three days.

Scout (goodreadscomscout) | 3594 comments I'd be Lg for a day and go to what she considers the most interesting places in Chicago. Some idea of what those would be, Lg?

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) That title threw me off for a second. I thought I saw, "what would you do to that person?" like we were going to have to knock someone off to take over their body or something.

message 70: by Carol (new)

Carol | 1678 comments yeah, I took it to mean we would take over their body and make them do crazy stuff.

I always blank when someone asks me this. This is what I said on another thread, the "if-you-had-24-hours-to-show-someone-around-town-what-would-you-show-them thread":

Run through the Art Institute quickly (they probably only want to see a handful of important items). A walking architectural tour of the Loop. A canoe/kayak tour of the Chicago River. If they like used books, Powell's. Obama's house. For dinner: if I'm treating, Senegalese food. If they're treating, Avenues at the Peninsula, or Tru.

I'd add a stop in Andersonville for some Swedish food and shopping, and an art class at Lill Street Studios. Since the Blago trial is about to start, sitting in on opening or closing arguments. Checking out the maps collection at the Newberry Library. Checking out some of those sandwiches I posted in the sandwich thread.

message 72: by Scout (new)

Scout (goodreadscomscout) | 3594 comments I'd take my time in the Art Institute and canoe the river. A kayak would put me butt-upwards in no time. Powell's, definitely. Senegalese, for sure. Swedish food, yes, but no idea what to order. Art class and Blago trial, yum. Maps and sandwiches - hell, yes and yes. I've had fun just imagining.

message 73: by RandomAnthony (new)

RandomAnthony | 14536 comments Hm. The canoe/kayak idea fascinates me. would never think of that. I'm just not that interested in what you can see of Chicago from the river, I guess.

Carol wrote: "yeah, I took it to mean we would take over their body and make them do crazy stuff."

Oh, if that was the case I could think of LOTS of things that would be fun. :) Like, RA walking the dogs in an evening gown, or going to a Cubs game all decked out in Cubs gear hurling insults at the other teams fans.

Larry or Phil mowing the lawn in a pink speedo.

Bun going to a Justin Bieber concert.

I would of course post pictures for the rest of you.

message 75: by [deleted user] (new)

Never mind, I take it back...Bun could turn around and make me accompany her to above mentioned concert and that would NOT be funny.

message 76: by [deleted user] (last edited Apr 02, 2011 06:02PM) (new)

Hahahaha. I was just about to say you were the best, especially for sharing. Then you turn around and whimp out on us Amelia.

Chances are good a body would bob to the surface, in the Chicago River.

Phil | 11837 comments My speedo is black.

message 79: by [deleted user] (new)

...and Larry dosen't have a lawn.

message 80: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Correct.

message 81: by Phil (new)

Phil | 11837 comments It got confusing when Larry wore his pink speedo to mow my lawn. Totally understandable mistake.

message 82: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Correct.

message 83: by [deleted user] (new)

Thanks for the clarification, Phil. My mistake.

message 84: by Scout (new)

Scout (goodreadscomscout) | 3594 comments Doesn't a black Speedo make you look, um, smaller?

message 85: by Phil (new)

Phil | 11837 comments Sometimes black is required.

Nicely done! Although replying simply removes the striking out for some reason.
