FUN NEWS and ANNOUNCEMENTS: hello fellow challengers. It's spring and this challenge will reflect that. I got some great suggestions for the challenge as well. I want to remind everyone to please post your romance reviews at the TRR website I'm sure we all read a majority of romance, but don't forget. We can post any romance we read. Not just what Carole sends us. HEY GUESS WHAT: a little birdie told me something exciting. Anyone involved in the challenge from March 1 2011 to Dec 31 2011 midnight PST is eligible. If there are any questions that is fine. I'm doing this to encourage reading. GRAND PRIZE: whoever has the highest amount of total books read, this includes the bonus. Wins a Kindle. Other prizes to be included for runners up TBA.

Springtime Clean time challenge
Theme: Spring clean-up(clean up that TBR shelf!)

AUTHOR: Author's FIRST name begins with letter 'A'

COVER ME: Easter egg hunt. Find a book with ONE of these colors. You can pick any color. GREEN, PINK, BLUE, WHITE and PURPLE. If there is more than one color that is fine. The color you chose should be the majority of the cover.

SAY IT: A character that speaks a second language (for me it would be other than English). For creative thinkers an ET language is except able ;)

THEME: An erotic novel with a menage theme (Menage is defined as a household of three. I will except 'extreme or plus' menage such as 4 or more.)

CHARACTER: Twins

Using the letters S-P-R-I-N-G. Use character names, author names, or book titles to spell 'spring'.

Quick question Miss Kenjii, for the Say It part of the challenge where the character speaks a second language?

I was wondering if say for example we were reading a book that had a sort of made up language or maybe an ancient language, would that count as well?

Sorry, but I just thought of another question. For the twins part of the challenge? Do the twins have to be in the same book or can they each have their own story?

For example, I think Christine Feehan's Carpathian series has a book that features twin brothers but they each have their own book, would something like that be ok?

Have you ever of someone get into an argument and then pull out the old 'define....' LOL. My way of making things simple is to define them. Twins are the result of two beings birthed at the same time. I prefer if the twins share a story, in the same book. But in a stretch I will settle for the character having a twin.

Miss Kenjii? I found this book that may work for the Cover Me part of the challenge.

The book that I own has a little bit of purple in it would that work?

When I looked up the book on the goodreads site they had posted two different covers I guess because one book is just a single story while the other book has two stories in it. The book copy I have is the one with the purple in it.

I hope I'm making this clear enough for you.

@Gabrielle what I'm looking for is for the main color to be the focus. Sassy has done a great job.with choosing her covers :) if GR doesnt show the cover you have at home, thats fine. I believe you :) make note of that next to the book cover so I know why you choose that

You can review books and put them on The Romance Reviews site, and if you are a reviewer you can do official reviews, but anyone who belongs to the site can do unofficial reviews for books.

Bronwyn, are you looking for permanent menage or one where a third comes in just for a bit of fun; also do you want a menage with it's two men, two females?

also if there are two men, do you want them to be involved with each other, or do you want just them there to please the woman.

I should be able to help you out with this because I read A LOT of menage. LOL

@Bronwyn when looking at different menage title the 'codes' are
M/f/m when the males are invovled with the female only
F/m/f where the females are invovled with the male only
So others are self ex:
M/m/f, f/f/m, m/m/m, f/f/f
So not only does it depend on your preference for HEA or other themes but also how you lime them paired up :)

Miss Kenjii? I had another question about the Cove Me portion of the challenge? I found another book that might work but it's sort of a mixture of the required colors.

In your explanation you said that's ok but...well let me just show you the book cover.




I think the main colors are yellow and orange but there is some pink,blue,and purple surrounding those colors, so would this cover be ok?

Yellow is the main color here. So out look for books with dominant colors. They can have qualifing colors but if they are not dominant that won't count. Any questions just post it and I will approve it, or not. I am glad you are asking me. This is the challenge part. Not even I can always find COVER ME :)

I have to do it this way Bronwyn. Otherwise, I'd be grossly disorganized. I have so much stuff in my TBR pile that it's not hard to find, but it does take a bit of work to match up categories.

Thanks for the book recommendations but I did find one copy in our library of a menage and it is a book by Maya Banks and I also found Twin Fantasies at my library so I will read those 2 for the challenge. This should be fun. I will put my list together and post it tomorrow hopefully. Enjoy the challenge all.
