This is my first post here. My novel Angel was released this past week by Itineris/Dreamspinner. I've done a few interviews. I did two blog talk radio programs.
1. Christ Englight: http://bit.ly/qUGpxy (We talked in some depth about the book, so there may be some spoilers.)
2. Love Buffet style: http://bit.ly/nXFnOg
and these print interviews:
A. Kindle Author: http://bit.ly/r7nvV9
B. Words with Writers: http://wordswithwriters.com/2011/10/0...
I'm also taping a segment on Thursday for State of Belief, which airs on a bunch of radio stations this weekend and streams: http://stateofbelief.com/show/listen
After ten years working on the book in solitude, it has been really great to finally be able to talk about it with people. Anyway, I hope you like it.
Along with an general interview, my vampire novellaKatrdeshtr's Redemption

Just in time for Halloween!
Nice interview. I have an affection for Russian culture and things Russian as well. (My partner is a Russian dancer) Have you found the difficult to pronounce title to be a challenge in any way?
Thanks! No, actually, I think Kat's name looks more difficult to English speakers/readers than it really is. It's pronounced Kah-ter-Desh-ter, as lacking vowels in some syllables isn't as problematic in some other languages as English sometimes seems to me. But then I speak German on a daily basis, and they really have some linguistic twists LOL Yes, quite, regarding Russian culture and the land itself. Venturing there on a trip to visit my "cousins" from the indigenous tribes, besides having the good fortune to maintain a personal acquaintance with quite a few Russians definitely helped in my story's creation.
My current WIP, The Agony of Joy, also has a Russian main character and will partially be on location in his home country.
Last novel I read with Russian themes... I can't even remember the name of it, but it had every Russian cliche in the book, it was some sort of DaVinci Code style mystery surrounding the family of the last Czar Nicholas and it had mafia and spies and Russian ballerinas and probably dancing bears. I told my boyfriend the plot and he laughed.
Interview on Books and Other Creative Adventures: http://coreenamcburnie.blogspot.com/
Also doing a giveaway, if you'd like to try to win a book.
I did an interview the other day with BiTalk Radio. http://bisocialnetwork.com/bi-talk-ra...
I really enjoyed doing this one. I like the Blog Talk interviews, they're usually nice laid back conversations.
Also have a guest post on Bibrary Book Lust about the challenges of writing about a kiss. (The title they gave it is just what Word called it by virtue of its first line.)

If anyone has any suggestions of sites that might be interested in an interview or guest post please let me know.
An Interview with Books & Porn: http://www.booksandporn.com/2011/10/e...Your Little Boy Lost series has become a huge hit. Many of us have fallen in love with Brian and Jamie. Can you tell us what inspired their story?
A couple of years ago, I read a series of blog posts written by adult model Brent Corrigan on his entry into the industry. Though the story contained no physical abuse, the idea for Jamie and Steven took shape. I crafted the series starting with the idea for the end of the third novel and most of the fourth novel before working my way backwards to Enlightened.
Along the way, I’ve been inspired by real life friends. For example:
Leo
The character Leo was inspired by blogger and activist Michael Macina (@MichaelsThought) who honored me recently by submitting an image for Leo’s bookmark. I found Michael through other friends online, and have come to cherish his almost daily messages of love and hope for our community. In fact, the dedication for Enlightened has one of Michael’s quotes. He’s a man that I admire both for his care and love for his LGBT family and for his wonderfully wicked sense of humor.
Two interviews:http://jenre-wellread.blogspot.com/20...

(Also with giveaways for backlist & current books)
My guest post on writing from the male perspective is now live on The Good Men Project:http://goodmenproject.com/arts/a-woma...
I did another guest post for the site Book After Book. The article is on writing what piques your curiosity rather than "what you know." http://bookafterbook.blogspot.com/201...
I did two more interviews you can listen to. One on public radio WNTI and the second on Blog Talk Radio's Book and a Chat, which was very fun:http://abookandachat.blogspot.com/2011/11/book-and-chat-with-laura-lee.html
Master Ethan Bryant interviews his author JP Barnaby today on Karenna Colcroft's blog - http://karennacolcroft.com/?p=1526Excerpt from the interview:
[Master Ethan] I would have thought that a submissive of your training would know the proper way to greet a Dominant.
[J. P.] Yes, Master Ethan. I apologize for my disrespect. I’m a little nervous about being interviewed. Please forgive me, Sir?
[Ethan] I may. Kneel here next to my chair like a good girl and I’ll see if your behavior improves.
[J. P.] Thank you, Sir.
[Ethan] Very good, sweet girl. Now, did you have anything else to say before we begin the interview?
[J. P.] No, Sir.
Not an interview, but I thought I would share the latest review of Angel from Top 2 Bottom Reviews:http://top2bottomreviews.wordpress.co...
I am author of the month for Queer Magazine Online! Interview: http://www.queermagazineonline.com/?p...
This is not an interview, but I'd like to thank Shall Write for naming Angel the best ebook of 2011.http://www.shallwrite.com/looking-back-at-2011/
"The best ebook I’ve read this year was Angel by Laura Lee. It told a story that, at first glance, seems as impossible as Annie Proulx’s Brokeback Mountain seemed. Lee manages to talk about religion without being preachy, about homosexuality without being political, and about life’s stages without being condescending. It’s an amazing read and one that I would highly recommend."
Hello, I am new to this group as I was invited to join by Ali. I write science fiction fantasy and romance. I like to mix genres and although I often feature lesbian relationships in my stories I am not a writer of erotic fiction.
