Jim (jim_) I was watching Scott Pilgrim vs. The World and when we went to bonus material, we got a message "rented version does not have bonus material." That's cheesy. I'm curious if that's limited to that film and/or netflix. I'd rather have used that $1 service and have gotten the bonus material than netflix.

Tell me if anyone else has had this experience.

I think that's just specific to that movie. I was curious so I popped in the Netflix DVD I have right now and it worked fine. Never had that problem either.
Still, that's preeetty lame.

Steven That's very lame. I think I remember reading about this somewhere. The movie studios dislike Netflix b/c its eating into profits.

Phillip | 10980 comments as it often happens, there are two discs in a dvd package - one for the film, one for the bonus features. i wonder if this was the case with your package, jim - you didn't have the features disc.

???

Correct we didn't have the features disc. :( That message sounded specific to rental version.

Gina | 5 comments Redbox is the same way. most of their movies don't come with special features. A lot of the time its a rentable version of the film that only has a subtitles option on the menu. It's pretty annoying and only makes me want to buy the actual movie less.
