Chosen Book: An Engagement in Seattle: Groom Wanted\Bride Wanted
Review: I finally got to sit down and read An Engagement in Seattle: Groom Wanted\Bride Wanted and I really enjoyed it. I've only read one other book by Macomber, but I plan to continue reading her. Her books are great for when you just want a smile as you read.
Anyways, my book was actually two novels so I'll do a short review of each.
Groom wanted: In this book we meet Julia and Aleksandr who hurry to marry when Alek's visa expires right as their company is about to have a breakthrough. This novella really reminded me of the movie The Proposal minus the humor. It was a cute but quick read, however, the cliches sometimes got to me.
Bride wanted: in the novella we meet Lesley and Chase who agree to marry for different reasons but end up falling deeply in love. I definitely preferred to this one to the first. Maybe because I love Alaska or Mail order bride books. Or maybe because Lesley is a teacher and I always love heroines with my own career. Either way I blew through this story in one evening.
I think Macomber is going to grow on me the more I read her. I believe I started as a B but I'm fast becoming an A. Thanks for making me sit down and reread this author!

4/5/11 - Today I finished Lip Service. I'm sad to say I was sorely disappointed in the book. Not that you didn't warn me photojim! I usually enjoy Mallery's work, but I really wasn't in love with much of anything in the book. The characters annoyed me and I felt as if the story went no where fast. Now that I've gotten it out of my way I'm excited to read the better recommendations given to me!
4/16/11 - I completed Halfway to the Grave today and I really loved it! I honestly read the whole book picturing Buffy instead of Cat, but it's all good. I cannot wait to continue the series so thank you very much for your recommendation photojim this was a great pick for me and I would have never picked it up if it weren't for you
