Tina, I'm reading the book na. Gawd, why did I not read this earlier? It's good. But I'll be more than happy to join you on the Q&A in October, if you'll have me. :)

What are the rules again for the buddy-read for this one? Sa blogs magpopost ng notes right? :)

I'd like to join, but I don't know the book (hehe), and I'm trying to finish my last dozen of books for 2011.

Ariel and Tina, maybe I can join if it's just light reading. I'll let you know next week because Angus and I are reading Gone With The Wind also on October. :)

Ariel: I'll pass muna. I'd like to focus on Gone with the Wind. I hope there's a next time though, :)

Ariel: Pass na lang muna. Reason ko talaga eh ayaw ko ng e-book. I tried once, masakit sa mata.

LOL

Monique: Light reading = if you mean the writing, yes. :D Themes, not so much. Haha. It's not really fantasy though, so no heavy world building. :)
Ariel: Excited ka lang talaga diba. Haha. I have a week to prepare the questions, sige mag reread na ko. :P

Aw Kuya. But it's not really fantasy, may monster lang. :D I think you'd really, really like it.
Or, ipapa-prize ko na lang sya sa Christmas party. Para merong malaking book na at stake again. Haha. :D
Friends participating in A Monster Calls, I will start the thread soon! I'm re-reading it na, and we'll have questions, etc etc ready before this week ends. :D

1) Ulysses by James Joyce
2) Canterbury Tales by Geoffrey Chaucer
3) Gulliver's Travels by Jonathan Swift
4) Middlemarch by George Eliot
5) Catch-22 by Joseph Heller
6) Native Son by Richard Wright
7) On the Origin of Species by Charles Darwin
8) The Histories by Herodotus
9) The Prince by Niccolo Machiavelli
10) On the Road by Jack Keroauc
I can start on Monday, October 3rd.

Wait lang gumagawa pa ako ng thread.

1. Beyond the Burning Time by Kathryn Lasky
2. Fall On Your Knees by Ann-Marie Macdonald
3. Seabiscuit by Laura Hillenbrand
4. Riding Lessons by Sara Gruen
5. Cold Mountain by Charles Frazier

Wow, that's a huge brick. I don't have a copy of that yet.

Bonggah! ~_~

lol Just keeping up with the Kardashians major 2011 releases."
Ikaw na ang updated sa new releases at sa buhay ni Kim Kardashian! Ahahaha! :D

Mas updated si Salman Rushdie. Nagsulat pa ng limerick:
The marriage of poor kim #kardashian was krushed like a kar in a krashian / her kris kried, not fair! why kan't I keep my share? / But kardashian fell klean outa fashian.

Oo nga! Gulat ko na lang when I read that this morning on Twitter. I don't know, but maybe Kim Kardashian might be one of the Midnight Children, that's why Rushdie's keeping track of her life .
