Rules on Buddy Reading

I have another book in mind that will be a great for this: "Book Thief" by Zusak. I can have 2 books simultaneously read with a buddy. Anybody interested, just tell me.

Oh yes. Another reading buddy session, dude!

You can visit the thread, here.

Regine: Can we plan for "Dangerous Liaisons" sometime after this? I just can not read 3 reading-buddies books simultaneously!

This group gets boring if we don't bring in something new. All we do is open a poll and then they vote. Then don't read and discuss. Just vote.
However, after a meet up? Messages just flood on ha ha. So, its okay. I just don't want our group to be just another "Facebook". We need to read and share our thoughts and not just say "Hi" every now and then.

Tama!

RE: This is for people who have somewhat different taste than those books selected as Books of the Month. At least, there is still somebody (the buddy) with whom he/she can discuss the book. Thanks again to Regine for this wonderful idea.

K.D. April 4th would be perfect!

Who knows, I might respond to your ad! :)
REGINE: Thanks! I browsed the book this morning and I think it will be a tough read (especially having a smart lady like you as my buddy).

That's a good idea, but we might end up flooding the main board with ads? I suggest we open a reading buddy ads thread (parang yung Currently Reading). What do you think? BTW, I plan to read

And K.D... .you flatter me!

Once we are about to start with DANGEROUS LIAISONS we will have our own thread.

BTW, your message should be in Wanted Reading Buddies thread.

1) Hardboiled Wonderland and the End of the World by Haruki Murakami (Tintin and K.D)
2) Speaker for the Dead by Orson Scott Card(Kwesi and Rollie)

Actually, an O.E. is somebody who supposed to have read the book already and he liked it. Meaning, when the interest of the buddies is waning down (dahil they probably found the book boring), the kibitzer's job err the O.E.'s job is to encourage the buddies to continue reading by giving them teasers and prodding them to go, go, you're getting to the best part! So, in the end all the buddies finish the reading and everybody's happy.

Wow, I learned a new word today... Kibitzer... Hehehe...

Remember na experimental ang reading buddy to entice members to read kasi konti ang participation sa Book of the Month. Mukhang maganda naman at nagwo-work kahit paano.

3) One of them to open a thread at least 3 days prior to the start of reading. This is for others who might be interested can join.
4) They use their thread to discuss the book.
5) The reading should not take more than a month unless it is a very long book.
Let me know if there are questions.
