Penny ...does the description of Breaking Dawn posted HERE on goodreads even make sense?

"As August 13th draws closer, Bella is more sure than ever that she has made the right choice - forsaking her human life to spend eternity with Edward. But a new enemy stalks closer, seeking to tear Bella and Edward apart forever, one with ties to both Vampire and Werewolf.

Can the treaty between the two hold?

Or will the new threat force both sides to settle their blood feud once and for all?

Because when the dawn breaks an angel will fall."

Rereading this description, after reading the book, I see hardly any correlation between this description and the book. And to be honest, I want to read the book that actually belongs to this description.

Shannon I know! I thought the exact same thing.

Kat Helgeson I interpret this as follows:

The "new enemy" in question, with ties to vampire and werewolf, can only be Renesmee. To talk about that kid stalking anywhere is beyond silly, but she does threaten to tear them apart - through Bella's death.

I guess the way she would force them to settle their blood feud would be by bringing Bella to the point of death, thus causing Edward to vampirize her, violating the terms of the treaty.

The last line...I got nothing. Unrelated melodrama?

Either way, this summary is better written than the book itself.

Shannon Got me excited......for NOTHING!

Stacy I like the interpretation of the description above, I couldn't make better sense of it myself. It's actually quite confusing. But I thought the book was great! Definitely my favorite in the series. I'm sorry to hear that you all were disappointed...happy reading!!!

Emma Blue Unfortunately, in the book, an angel DIDN'T fall. Bella got her happy ending and no one died! I was talking to a friend of mine, she was saying that it would've been great if Bella turned into a vampire and then Edward didn't love her anymore. She would have to survive on her own, and he would fall in love with her for her. Not for her scent. I would've LOVED to read that book!

Kat Helgeson I think "an angel will fall" meant "bella will become a vampire." That's the only way I can get that sentence to follow logically from the previous one about the feud between wolves and vampires.

Unfortunately, the book treated that particular "fall" more like an ascension. Is there any reason not to just turn us ALL into vampires?!

Emma Blue But Bella's not an angel. And techinally, she didn't fall. She didn't die. Very good point. Who knows, maybe we're all perfectly fit for vampire life? Since Bella is supposed to normal.
