Yeah, I love JP's books, but I kind of hate him as a person. I feel like he's the kind of author that writes for money, not other people's enjoyment, or that he actually loves doing it. I know this sounds mean to say, but I kind of hate authors like that... I mean yes, they need money, but it feels like they just do it sort of... hollowly. I can't even explain it. :-/

My dad randomly said:
"You know that author you like so much? Not the Harry Potter lady, the other guy."
"Uh...James Patterson?"
"Yeah, him. I think he's got a team of writers."

What? That's cheating!!!! ... *sniffles* Jerk. :( I thought he came up with awesome characters like Fang and Gazzy and Max... why is he even getting the credit?
From Wikipedia:Patterson also received criticism for his continued work with collaborators. His prolific output is partly owed to his many co-authors, who share authorship credit. The authors, in their agreement with Patterson, have agreed not to disclose the terms of their working relationship, including how much involvement Patterson has on each co-authored book.[11][dead link] In the same Time magazine 10 Questions interview, he responded to a question about his collaborations: "If I'm working with a co-writer, they'll usually write the first draft. And then I write subsequent drafts."[9]
I knew he had lots of co-authors... their names are always in the finer print... It would explain a lot, though.
And I know exactly what you mean, Breeze.
