I read it the other week. When I think about the reviews it got, it wasn't THAT bad but still pretty lousy.

Max spends the first half of the book in a depressed stupor.

That isnt like Max at all...given the circumsances I understand she would be depressed for a while, anyone would. But for that long????

It just isn't like her character. It doesn't make sense. And quite frankly it gets annoying her whining about her Fang/Dylan problem on at least every page.

Yeah. Its kind of a shame to know that the fans know JPs characters better than he does, since the authors are supposed to know everything about their characters, even stuff their number one fans dont know.
