I love you... just saying.
And I disagree with later comments... you can totally check out a bod in full hockey gear. (I'm having a hot flash as we speak).
Also, sadly, we didn't make it far in the playoffs so the season is over for the Centennials. I am on the committee for next season's icebreaker though (which will only take a couple nights a month out of my life) and I'm still treasurer for the local Arts Council (no hot men/guys on board with that one unfortunately), so I vow to take more time out of my life for GR now that I'll have some available. Can I be a seasonal moderator???
Also, my internet was down for like... 3 months and Telus has finally sent me a new modem so there's nothing holding me back (except for the fact that I can't find a damn thing to read in this joint).
Whatever, now I'm on crack. I was sure I saw a comment about obstructive hockey gear. Guess I made that part up.
Heather i remember reading That as well. Good to know it's not obstructive because i'm going to a hockey game Saturday night. Welcome back!!
It's fun to go to minor league games and SO much cheaper. We have a minor league baseball team in town and they have a pretty big stadium and following. Even when the games are packed, there's always a few empty seats up front, so we can buy the cheap bleacher seats for a few bucks and move up to the nice chairs with seatbacks on them. They usually do fireworks on summer nights after the game too, which is fun.
That does sound like fun. We have rec and league ball here in Merritt, but not really anywhere to go and watch the games.
Agreed Ladies... We used to have Giants season tickets but with the kids it's much easier and cheaper to take them to minor league games. My family has season tickets to the Sacramento River Cats minor league baseball team and we go a lot. We think it's a great night when the kids can make it to the 7th inning stretch...lol!! Plus Fridays are family night with $1 hot dogs and ice cream. Now my husband and his brothers go to San Jose Sharks hockey games about 4 times a year. The Thunder Hockey game Saturday is a combination of Hockey and people dressing up in their Star Wars costumes... Not us, but my boys are crazy for Lego's and Star Wars. Should be fun!!
It's crazy insane how expensive it is to go to any sort of pro game anymore, especially when you add in food and parking.Every year we say we're going to go to a Broncos game and never do because it seems so darn expensive. A few years back, we flew down to Dallas to take my oldest one to a Cowboys game for his birthday (the new baby had just come along so we wanted to do something extra special for him after being an only child for 13 years and losing a lot of his attention).
We purchased the game tickets, parking tickets, hotel room and plane tickets ahead of time for just over 400 dollars per person, and the game tickets and parking pass took up a big chunk of that (almost half), since we were able to get a really great off season deal on the plane and hotel. How sad is it that the game was on par price wise with the actual travel and lodging costs?
It's so sad... Sports games are great events for families!! We are heading to S. Cali to take the kids to Disneyland and Lego land. OMG!!! It's $167 for a 3 day pass for each person (4 of us) and $20 parking for Disneyland. Lego land is $55 per person per day (2 days is what we have planned). Plus food and drinks... it's just crazy!! I might just pack us all food and save some money... Ha!! Plus you know i'm going to buy the kids something at each park. My boys are obsessed about Legos. This trip means we will be camping in Yosemite for our next family vacation. LOL!!
Her Eye Candy~ Who else?? Lol. This is the love of Heather's life and future Kid Husband, Sidney Crosby.
He's been on a 3 month hiatus from hockey... they said it was due to concussion... I know the real story though.

WHAT?? Too cool! When some folks do it they do it all the way huh!
Someone posted these pics in another group of people from a Steampunk convention thing.
I want to attend a Steampunk convention!! Looks like fun! If anything, just to wear the clothes!lol!
