message 4: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Me too.

message 5: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 13815 comments I'd buy something if I liked our choice of quote and/or design. Or the charity. I'm in, in other words.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Sarah Pi wrote: "Or the charity."

I think it's a great idea, but I'd hope that the charity would be a neutral one that everyone could get behind without causing people to debate political or religious viewpoints.

message 7: by Kevin (new)

Kevin (ksprink) | 11469 comments i'm only in if the charity is like some rehab deal for midgets with tourette's or something like that

message 8: by Kevin (new)

Kevin (ksprink) | 11469 comments i'm kidding. geesh. actually i would like to submit some ideas for a mug/tee/condom wrapper

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Agree.

Misha wrote: "Will you be submitting a photo of you in a bathtub with your fruit hat, Kevin? I think a "Men of Terminal Coffee Take Bubble Baths" calendar would be a hot item."

I want that calendar! Want! Want! Want! It might be hard to explain at home, but definitely worth it!

message 11: by Phoenix (new)

Phoenix (phoenixapb) | 1619 comments Not only yes, but hell yes!!! Great idea Misha!

message 12: by Michael (new)

Michael I think it's a great idea and I can't wait to get my new baseball cap!

As to a charity, since we were all brought here by a shared love of reading, I'll suggest this one:
http://www.rif.org/

message 13: by Helena (new)

Helena | 1058 comments I would.

message 14: by Janice (new)

Janice (jamasc) It's a great idea. :)

message 15: by Paul (new)

Paul (taytothief) Even though I'm just a noob round here... This sounds like an awesome idea and wish you good luck setting it up. I's prolly purchase something myself. One can never have too many bookmarks.. :p

message 16: by janine (new)

janine | 7715 comments great idea, misha.

message 17: by Jim (new)

Jim | 6485 comments Excellent Misha, I'm in. Let me know if you need help with something.

message 18: by ms.petra (new)

ms.petra (mspetra) I'm in. I also like the literacy charity idea. The calendar would be fun! A reusable shopping bag would be easy and inexpensive. I would probably buy some sort of hat (like I need another one!)

message 19: by Zen (new)

Zen (zentea) | 515 comments Ficus T-Shirt! I want a Ficus T-shirt! One that says .....which a lot of people here have needed to do at one point or another LOL!

Lyzzibug ~Still Breathing~ (lyzzibug) | 708 comments This is a great idea Misha! I would most certainly purchase something. The literacy charity is perfect. Good luck setting it up.

message 21: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 13815 comments Literacy charity sounds good. My other suggestion would be Partners in Health http://www.pih.org/

message 22: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (peanutty222) Let me know when it's set up and I'll purchase some goodies.

message 23: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 13815 comments I would think the decontextualized quote thread might be a good place for some quality slogans.

message 24: by smetchie (new)

smetchie | 4034 comments definitely! I definitely would.

message 25: by smetchie (new)

smetchie | 4034 comments FUN!

message 26: by Scout (new)

Scout (goodreadscomscout) | 3434 comments A great idea is born and encouraged. Things are looking up! I want a tee featuring Kevin in the bubbles wearing his fruit hat. And the calendar, too, as long as Larry's only wearing a smile. However, I vote no on anything featuring Anne Hathaway!

message 27: by Janice (new)

Janice (jamasc) I'll vote 'yah' for the men of TC featured in a calendar, on mugs, t's... oh and boxer shorts!

message 28: by Heidi (new)

Heidi (heidihooo) | 10825 comments I almost suggested a literacy charity, but I see Michael beat me to the punch. :)

I love it. Super idea, Misha!

message 29: by Karen (new)

Karen | 25 comments I would too. Will there be lurker gear??? First Book is another option.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Official TC Lurker. Hah.

message 31: by Brittomart (new)

Brittomart I associate lurking with Michele now. Always.

message 38: by Phoenix (new)

Phoenix (phoenixapb) | 1619 comments Hey Misha, when do you need these ideas by? ASAP or will there be a date set up? Also, are we going to get a thread/poll started for the phrases TCer's want used...I think someone mentioned that? I have no idea how to go about something like this but I'll help any way I can.

message 39: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 13815 comments I would have been really creeped out if the monkeys that stole my yogurt were sock monkeys. I have pictures of them if somebody who is good with photoshop wants to turn them into sock monkeys.

message 40: by janine (new)

janine | 7715 comments a poll with possible phrases would be a good idea.

message 41: by Janice (new)

Janice (jamasc) I could draw a stick tree and call it a fiscus. I could even draw a stick person. No? Fine then.

message 42: by Phoenix (new)

Phoenix (phoenixapb) | 1619 comments I sent Misha an idea/drawing for the TC store.

*waits not so patiently for her verdict*

Phoenix (phoenixapb) | 1619 comments Woo Hoo! :D
Should I post it on here and see what everyone else thinks?

ETA: I'm posting it, cuz I'm really tired and this fever is kickin' my ass...so here it is TCer's.

TC sock monkey Hello

Misha, I love that messenger bag. When I was editor of my high school paper, I got a nice award from the Iowa SPJ.

message 47: by Cynthia (new)

Cynthia Paschen | 7125 comments Misha, I would buy a shirt with Clark's quote: This is not a tupperware party for assholes. I did not use quotes around it, as I would need to verify the accuracy. Also, the Tupperware people might sue our butts.

message 48: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Very well done, Alecia. Hope you feel better quickly! Keep your feet warm.

message 49: by Phoenix (new)

Phoenix (phoenixapb) | 1619 comments Thanks guys! :D
