Captain Sir Roddy, R.N. (Ret.) (captain_sir_roddy) I can hardly contain myself, but we are just a few days away from the release of the tenth, and final, volume in the "Malazan Book of the Fallen" series. The Crippled God by Steven Erikson is due to be released in the U.S. on March 1st. I have already pre-ordered it from Amazon, and it is supposed to arrive by March 4th!

I still have to read Dust of Dreams! Dang my TBR is way too huge. (I blame Goodreads and these posts full of great books!) lol

S.B. (Beauty in Ruins) (beautyinruins) WooHoo! The Transworld international edition of The Crippled God is available for Kindle on Amazon.com!

It's not easy to find (most searches keep coming up with the next week's Tor edition), so I included the link above.

Now, I'm off to find a quiet stop to hide . . . I suspect there will be no sleep tonight. :)

Captain Sir Roddy, R.N. (Ret.) (captain_sir_roddy) Sally, lucky you! I still have about a week until it is in my hot little hands! I may have to take three days off from work and just cloister myself with it! Enjoy! Cheers! Chris

Jeff Watson | 46 comments I find it suspiciously odd that there are two Kindle editions of a book available in the US. I'm concerned that the Transworld Digital edition (the British edition) might not be legit to be sold in the US. After months of dealing with Amazon and a British publisher to get a legitimate British edition sold through Amazon I find this disturbing.

I pre-ordered the Tor Kindle edition and will wait for it as I'm sure that one is the US copyrighted edition. :)

S.B. (Beauty in Ruins) (beautyinruins) Being from Canada, I'm used to seeing a lot of UK imports, so that never occurred to me. All of my Malazan trade paperbacks are the Transworld editions . . . only my mass market paperbacks are from Tor.

Captain Sir Roddy, R.N. (Ret.) (captain_sir_roddy) My brand new copy of The Crippled God just arrived in the mail this morning! Whee-Doggy!

Lori I had to rejoin this group because you are reading the earlier books. I'm 3/4 thru TCG, and so reluctant to finish it! My virgin read. :D There is so much in each and every one of this series, that of course I've forgotten so much. Which is why I own all these books, because while it won't be the same slobbering experience (slobbering as in obsession and drooling!) the reread will be so rewarding. And I never reread things, too many books.

Has anyone read it? Sally are you finished? Could we have a TCG thread, moderators. Because I HAVE TO DISCUSS!

I'm looking forward to reading all the posts of GoM and DG.

Egads, I love this series.

Lori-you are just going to have to change your re-read policy for this one! lol
When I got up to Midnight Tides there were so many little pieces nagging at me I had to go back and read the first 3, and then when I got to Dust of Dreams I had to go reread the next 4! and I got to say I was so glad I did...too many puzzle pieces that just kept clicking together...

Hiya Lori!! Yes I have finished TCG and it was AMAZING all the way to the end! Like you I would read something and then read it again just to make sure I really read what I just read (hope that made since!), so some pages have been two, three orfour times already...but even with that I read it VERY fast because I couldn't put it down!

As for your reread policy, as Maggie already said, you must revise it for SE, because there is always something you missed in pervious readings. I'm working on my third reread now that TCG is out and there is SO much there I've missed or didn't know the importance of the event and so missed the nuances.

Glad to know there's so many SE fans thou, does my heart good!

Shelley:)
