Thanks, i will look into that.
Okay, I am reading "Lathe of Heaven" by Ursela LeGuin. I checked the list provided for task 20.8 quotable quotes and the book was listed so can I please, please, please use it for task 20.8? *gives the mods her cute puppy dog eyes* Pllleeeassseee *Roger Rabbit impression*
The title is taken from the writings of Chuang Tzu — specifically a passage from Book XXIII, paragraph 7, quoted as an epigraph to Chapter 3 of the novel:To let understanding stop at what cannot be understood is a high attainment. Those who cannot do it will be destroyed on the lathe of heaven.
It works.

I got combo points for 20.4 since Le Guin writes poetry and for 10.6 because Haber is a scientist.
nice, I thought so on the scientist. I didn't know LeGuin wrote poetry. So I take it I can use the book?

Krista & Sam:how many books make a series? Does it have t be at lest three or does a single sequel count (a two-book series)?
I'm reading a book right now that I think fits the Lab Lit task, but I want to check in advance. The book is about a retired biology teacher and a retired neurosurgeon. There are many flashbacks about their time in the lab and connections with their education. There is discussion about creationism vs evolution and environmental issues threaded throughout as well. There is a good deal of other content, too, though. Is the science content enough for it to count?World and Town by Gish Jen

Thanks, Krista,I just read a bit more and the interlacing of science content continued so I feel good about counting it. I still have a ways to go so thanks so much for your quick answer. I'm close to finishing another lab lit book which I am also really enjoying: TC Boyle's When the Killing's Done if anyone's still looking for fits for the lab lit task.

Yes, epic poems should meet the 100 page requirement. Choose your edition wisely.
The New York Public library classifies Hopkins' books as novels (unlike Eugene Onegin which is shelved in the literature/poetry section).
