Sometimes you just kinda wish she pair up the spares instead of introducing new characters and ten other awesome supporting characters to go with it. But my real problem is that she never seems to come back to any of the new characters.

He's not dead he's cursed. Which maybe Balery might have done in a fit of anger? Or perhaps someone she knew tried to prevent them meeting only for her to be captured before anyway.

I would also like to see a book with a shifter for a main character, I thought that MacRieve's heroine was gonna be one but that didn't happen so I think that would be awesome if that happened. I love the world that KC came up with, I have read a lot of other amazing series but this is my #1 series

Yes, that would be nice. Pairing the characters that are already "players" in the IAD world would cut down confusion a bit. But, each of her characters all have interesting/funny stories/parts. She entertains the crap outta us to the max. I've been looking back through the older posts on here and love remembering all of characters mentioned. Holly's "horn job," Sabine's(the whole mask deal is funny) and Carrow's smack down session, the vampire crow bar removal comment about Myst and Nikolai...lol The world of IAD is awesome!!

I love No Rest for the Wicked it's in a tie with Lothaire for second place but my #1 is Demon from the Dark I love Malkom and Carrow and little Ruby.

Just to wrap up this Salem/Hag theory [btw, is it just me or Salem=witch trials, "Hag" another word for witch]

(view spoiler)[ Salem was a phantom warrior. To go from being a ghost to a phantom would have taken centuries to achieve. And we know from "Kiss of the Demon King" that Hag was in Ormort's services for 500 years.

It was Morgana who cursed him to be a Sylph, and only in the last 20 years, which means it could be reversed.

We also learn from Nix in Naomi and Conrad's story that other than decapitation while corporeal, phantoms are basically unkillable....which is perfect for a girl like Balery whose touch can kill a man (she's a venefican).

Yes, that was fun! Lothaire is one of my favorite books in the IAD. I wasn't as crazy about MacRieve so I hope that KC comes up with a good one for this next book.
