the book i read is for elementary-age children. i don't remember anything about the title or author, just that it is about a boy who makes regular trips to the doctor for some kind of shot and his friend also does this, but one day she disappears and he sees a dog with the same mismatched eye color as his friend. it's driving me crazy that i cannot remember the title, please help!
