No, I like them! I just needed something to blame! Okay, I blame the advertisements on goodreads being for books that I will probably never read!
Yeah, same here. Why can't they advertise books like A Tale of Two Cities?
I'm not much for classics... except for Sherlock Holmes, of course! :)
A Tale of Two Cities is pretty good though, even if you don't like classics (I think).
It's about people in the French revolution. This one guy marries this doctor's daughter and he is falsely accused of treason and is to be beheaded by the new guillotine that beheads the king. It's really intense. It doesn't make much sense at first though. You have to trudge through until about half way when things start to unravel. The end makes it all the worthwhile to read. It made me cry all the water out of me though. *sniff*
It's The Lord of the Rings.
