Lucy (din0bot) | 1 comments This is unlikely to be successful, but...
I read an anthology of urban fantasy tales a decade ago. There was a story about a guy who cut bikes free to roam the streets. Some kids froze in a car. Man...memories get dim with time, don't they. If you've heard of this one...with bikes roaming the streets at night confounding all the police men, please let me know.

Jess (jessartisan) I'm sorry I don't know, but there's a goodreads group that might be able to help:

What's the name of that book?

Angelica (angelica221) I've tried poking around the internet with no success. If you do find it, can you post the title here? Thanks.

Laura Fowler | 29 comments This is the closest thread I can find to post what I want to ask-- I read a really fun YA vampire novel around 10 years ago about 3 sisters, and I believe the vampire sisters were separated. Each one fit a different physical description, one was blonde, the other black hair, and one red head. There was a love element with 3 vampire brothers(?) I think... but not sure.

If this rings a bell, could anyone let me know? I've stormed up Google, but all I get are recent suggestions rather than one about a pulpy mass-printed book from over 10-13 years ago that I borrowed from the library.

The Flooze (the_flooze) | 179 comments Lucy, Dreams Underfoot, by Charles de Lint? Here's a page with synopses:

Laura Fowler | 29 comments I remember that the author revealed the characters as being siblings slowly, like that was a big 'reveal.'

message 7: by Elisabeth (new)

Elisabeth (liserla) I think two of the books are "Darkling" and "Witchling". One sister was turned into a vampire, one is a witch and one can shift into a cat.

Laura Fowler | 29 comments It was only one book, and I checked that one out-- it was published in 2008. Too young. Thanks for the help though! The book I read was the first of only 2 or 3 books the man wrote, and the title had three or four words... i guess i can go scare the librarian from my home town by asking what books i borrowed 13 years ago!

Dawn | 18 comments Laura,

Have you tried posting the question on librarything.com ? Just a thought in case you don't get good results here.

Laura Fowler | 29 comments thanks for the suggestion-- i'd not heard of that site.

Laura Fowler | 29 comments I think it's L J Smith's Daughters of Darkness book, the second in her Night world series. The book was published in 1996, had three sisters each w/ different hair color, and two human friends. I remember they were being chased by a young man, another vampire, and in that book they are being followed by their brother... Fingers crossed that i can find it at the book store! This was the read that got me into UF in the 1st place!

The Flooze (the_flooze) | 179 comments Oh I was going to suggest that ages ago, but thought it was too new! Oops! Didn't realize Night World had been around that long! Sorry!

Laura Fowler | 29 comments Okay! I own the book-- and now let's see if my 13 year old brain was ton's different from my 30 year old brain. :)
