Hi, I was reading The Penal Colony but have given up, never done that before. I will go back to it but felt I was reading and getting nowhere fast. I like the idea behind the story but just very slow. Anyone else read this book???

Just finished reading I gave it 3/5 stars here on goodreads though I don't like rating books in this way. I am quite tight when giving out stars lol Having said that I did enjoy the book,I did like I just wanted more from it throughout the book not just at the end.

Just read this "novelette" It was a taste of hopefully good things to come in the following novelettes.

Apparently a Novelette is longer than a short story but shorter than a Novella.

I'm about 60 pages into Witch & Wizard and although I really like the pace and feel of the book and its plot, I'm hating Patterson's microchapters. This is the first book of his that I've read and if that's a pervasive quality of his, I probably won't read more of them!
