I pre-ordered mine. It's too bad we can't use the lending program from that publisher. That book was quite expensive; if i didn't love the author's work i would not have paid so much for it and waited a while.

That one should be coming on the next book or certainly the one after. I think Skyler did need to age a bit for her to tell her story.

Woohoo! But I agree - Skylar needed to age. I think she is only 17 in Dark Celebration... Poor old Dimitri - hanging on by a thread no doubt!

I know but I got the distinct impression in Ivy's book that Skylar and Dimitri's bond had grown closer (the way he was able to support her during the spell) and I need details of what's been going on to tide me over... damn it. It's kind of like Quinn and Blay in BDB, I know I have to wait but you've got to give me something in each book to keep me going :)

message 518: by Amanda (new)

Amanda D. (tinyminx) | 634 comments Debbie, I have finished The Bride! I read a Julie Garwood book last month for the Featured Author Challenge and I wasn't floored by it or anything. It was more of a take it or leave it sort of thing.

But this book definitely changed my opinion! Watching Alec and Jamie's relationship slowly flourish was entertaining and before I knew it, the story was over. : ( I am tempted to take a look at the second book in the Lairds' Fiancées series.

Stormy | 144 comments Polina,

I finished The Long Way Home. It was a solid 4 star read for me. There were even a few personal aha moments for me. I enjoyed the characters and the tense mystery drama. Thanks for getting it off my TBR. I ordered a few more books from the library, but I'm currently separated from them by 3,000 miles. Hope to get to a few more this month. I'll let you know if I swing them.

Tania | 644 comments Hey guys, just a quick note and a favour to ask.

I've just discovered the groups bookshelves (great resource for reading inspiration / challenges btw). So if you've finished your book could you please take a second to check to see if the book you've read is on there. If not please add it and put it in the appropriate shelves.

You are all such stars!!!

AlbertaJenn | 0 comments Sorry I didn't update until now. I finished The Dragon's Bride (Three Heroes Trilogy, #2) (Company of Rogues, #7) by Jo Beverley a couple of days ago. *sigh* I had forgotten how wonderful Jo Beverley's Company of Rogues series is, and how much I love her as an author.

Now, I think this has shaken me out of my erotica streak and into a historical romance streak. Think I will try to get a couple other books by her from my TBR shelf crossed off.

Thanks, MoutainKat!

Cacophony | 102 comments Hi Rebecca, just letting you know that I finished Dead Witch Walking this week. I am not sure whether to say that I liked it or not. I loved the setting and the secondary characters but I hated the main character. I think I will go on to read the second book and see if she gets less annoying. I hate to give up on a series with such potential.

I've been struggling with adding it to my TBR shelf because I'm afraid it's just another paranormal YA book being cranked out because of the popularity of Twilight. However, I'm a huge sucker for any books that feature the possibility of a fae romance.
