I agree with you Rosie i could have skimmed her birth and i wouldnt have missed a thing. And we all knew that Jacob was going to imprint eventually. but imprinting with a kid is really wierd!!
to Phantompickle it was horror-esque. to much blood and to much drama i felt like i was living in a sappy soap opera during that part of the book.

Lol, honestly, at the end of Eclipse, I predicted the next book - I wasn't wrong on a single point. The only thing I didn't forsee was her hastily thrown together plot (e.g. She never before mentioned the vampire babies. It could've used a bit more planning) would bring on the Volturi. I guessed that they would have a kid, and Jacob would imprint on it.

yeah that was kinda foreseeable. but we all knew that the Volturi was coming back in the second book and we knew that they would show up eventualy..... so yeah. and i agree that the plot was thrown together really fast.

the idea of werewolves and vampires is cult fanomanom and is pretty much written in stone if you are going to write a vampire story or werewolf story you are pretty much required to stick to the facts that have been set fiction or not... if not then ppl can say what they want.

Uh...Honey, I think you're kinda confused. ^_^' Bella gets pregnant the usual way, by having sex with Edward. (Which is impossible, but that's a completely different story...) They end up having to do an emergency caeserean to get the baby out (you know, it being half-vampire and super-strong)... And Edward does so by. BITING. THROUGH. HER. WOMB. WHAT THE FUCK.

Also, on the subject of how vampires turn humans, it can be done many different ways depending on the author. I didn't have any problems with Meyer's method, compared to other idiocies (coughsparklescough).

Plus, people get turned by the venom in a vampire's mouth. From the excerpt of Midnight Sun that I read, I get the idea that the venom works like saliva would in humans. Now, when you drink through a straw, you're sucking out the liquid, but some spit stays behind, right? The same goes with vampires. Venom will be left over on the skin/on the wound.

In response to your question, yes. If Twiverse made any sort of sense at all, and had some sort of consistency, then Edward would no longer have any semen. Sperm cells only survive a few days tops, a little longer I think in the womb. That's why men have to constantly produce them. Not to mention the fact the sperm can only survive at around body temperature. So Edward's little swimmers would have died rather quickly, and since he's a vampire, he shouldn't be able to produce any more.

Even then, there's a major barrier here: by any means, Edward should not be able to have sex. Never mind the semen, how can he get an erection? The undead don't have blood.

But let's give Meyer some leeway, overlook all this, and assume that SOMEHOW Edward's sperm was "frozen", and that SOMEHOW Edward isn't impotent. Still no sense here. The thing is, Stephenie Meyer stated that when a human was turned into a vampire, that all the fluids in the body became venom. GUESS WHAT'S ALSO FLUID THAT WE HAPPEN TO BE TALKING ABOUT? *hinthint* Which means... Pretty much, Bella would've been vamped the first time they had sex. Period.

I suppose Meyer would attempt to argue that there was some sperm left over from before Edward was a vampire, but someone pointed this out to me, and there point is painfully obvious - if this were true, then Renesmee would have been fully human. Not half-human.
