I am living on Airstrip One, frustrated by a humdrum life of correcting texts, i.e. altering history. I seem to be the only person who can remember the past. My girlfriend and I have just taken a leap of faith, and now I'm reading 'the book'.The book *I'm* reading is 'Nineteen Eighty-Four' by George Orwell.
After finishing with
I now started a german book
and it takes place on a huge winery not far from Nuremberg 1430

My main character is in Sweden...I'm reading the first of the Millennium trilogy, "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo"! At least that is one of the books I'm reading..another book's main character is in New England ("An Arsonist's Guide to Writers' Homes in New England). I'm also working on "The Man Who Loved China" and the man is surprisingly in China.Any other nonfiction book I'm reading is just a read without main characters.

I read this a couple of years ago and also found it very good.
Right now, my main character is in Barcelona learnign to be a Spanish gentleman but he will return to California as "Zorro". The book is by Isabelle Allende and is very good.
I read it last year (book ring book, actually) and really liked it, too. I joined the book ring because a woman who grew up there recommended it. I think she was a war bride--met him during the war, that is--and has lived in the US since.
