Started for the first time in December of 2023 and I'm pretty sure I finished it within about a month

They came out way before I was born (2010). I read the first one in 4th grade (this was about 2020-21???) from my school library, but then I stopped for some reason, but then I finished them all in 5th grade
It was on April 2022. At school, my still best friend lend me Harry Potter and the Chamber of the Secrets (I read it before the Philosopher Stone). I remember reading the first chapter at lunch time at school with the final cliffhanger of Dobby appearing in Harry's bedroom.
I first read the Harry Potter books when I was around 16. I had tried to read them multiple times before that, but I wasn't able to get into them. I loved the movies, but I wasn't able to get into the books. When Robbie Coltrane passed away, one of my classmates and I decided that we would read the books together. After that, I fell in love with the books. I love how more detailed the books are. These books are now apart of who I am, and I wouldn't change it for the world.
3rd grade. Idk what year that was, too lazy to do the math. I had already watched the movies, but I didn't really like them. There was a guy that had an assigned seat beside me and we bonded over loving to read. He got me into reading the HP books. I don't think he ended up reading them tho XD
I think I started in 3rd but didn't finish until 5th or 6th. I read the first 2, got busy, then read all the rest really fast a year or 2 later
Reading it this year for the first time to prepare for the TV Seriers.Love the movies so when I heard the TV Series was coming I told myself to read all the books also. :)
So far on HP2.
September 4th, 1997 – My BirthdayThat year, my mom gave me a gift that would change my life: the first Harry Potter book. She had heard it was becoming a hit with kids and thought I'd enjoy it since I’ve always loved reading. It took me a few months to get through it, but once I did, I was hooked! From then on, I was all in—midnight book premieres at the mall, eagerly waiting in line, and later, obsessing over the movies when they came out. The Harry Potter series didn’t just ignite my imagination; it became a defining part of my childhood. ✨🧙♂️📚
I started probably in 2019 or so, when I was in year 3. Then, in year 5 and year 6, all of my class was OBBSESSED. We had 'The Harry Potter Game', and would play it every lunch time. We even made up O.W.L tests, and had homework!
I was between 5 or 6 when I first did, but I didn't finish the last 3 until I was 13 because my brother got scared during Goblet of Fire, and my mom forgot that I hadn't read them until I asked her if I could last year!
Started when I was 10 and finished their series with in a few weeks. Was totally obsessed and read non stop
I started the series when I was in 6th grade, but every now and then I like to reread a part of one of the books or just flat out read it all the way through 💗🪄🧹
I started reading the books when I was like 10 and I had a CD player, so me and my family got the Harry Potter books on CD and I got the book and we all listened and read and after each book we would watch the movie.
I was literally 8 years old haha! My mom is a hugeee potter head and has pass down her legacy down towards me! I was very much an excited kid to read that, and still are!
I went to universal when I was 7, my family read the first 2 together, and watched through POA, after the trip I finished the movies and didn’t read the books for years. I first read the full series my 6th or 7th grade year, and have loved them ever since.
I started reading the Harry Potter books in 2025—better late than waiting for my Hogwarts letter! Currently diving into Prisoner of Azkaban, and wow… the books are so much better than the movies. More magic, more depth, and 100% more sassy Harry. Also, Hagrid’s classes? Sign me up!
I grew up with a lot of friends being big Harry Potter fans. My childhood friend even tried to get me to watch the movies on multiple occasions, but I never had any interest in the world. It wasn’t until high school when I decided to pick the novels one summer where I realized why everyone loves them. Since then I try to read the series once every year and I do like the movies, I don’t like how some of them were adapted to the big screen. Don’t even get me started on the Fantastic Beasts movies. But regardless, I love this series and world, and wish I could’ve gotten into when I was younger. HP fan for life!
I speedran the whole thing when I was 7 (2nd grade). read the full thing in order, they were all released by that time. watched the movies like a year later, they were also all released so I watched them in order. I think i've watched chamber of secrets like 10 times now
I actually don’t remember 😭 but I just recently reread them though! Literally finished deathly hallows in November
When I was 9 I watched the movies and first read the books when I was 11. Harry Potter was like the first book I read properly because I hated reading before that and now I can’t live without reading
2003 after I saw Prisoner of Azkaban in theaters, I knew I couldn’t put the books off anymore. Went to every midnight book release and midnight movie release after that
When I was around 8. My mom was the one who recommended reading Sorcerer's Stone, since she'd heard the series was so popular. I was hesitant but gave it a shot. It wasn't long before I was diving into the other books XD
I started the series when I was 11, and guess what I still read it. Especially the 4th one. Luv it sm.
I wasn't even born when the series came out. I'm eleven btw. And I started reding it in 3rd grade which was last year and from that I have read it five times each
I started reading it around my 11th Christmas, and by my 11th birthday, I was devastated I didn't receive a letter to go to Hogwarts :(
Reading Harry Potter and the philosopher's stone is the one wishes I want badly in the year of 2005. After 20 years I was able to read it in 4 days (Which I was not able to do even after trying for weeks, then, and I gave up).
Now, I am very happy for myself that I fulfilled my old wish 😌
