SOLVED. the half way point after death [s]

i only read the first chapter, but the book was great and i would like to finish it. the beginning was about how there was this half way point where people ended up when they died. for some mysterious reason more and more people were dying and consequently their souls were filling up this midway point.

the cover was memorable. there were two arms coming out of a trench coat, but there was no torso in the coat.

please help! thanks.
