Possibly The Beast in Him by Shelly Laurenston. That sounds like a fairly good description of the book. A very funny book, but its book #2 in the series. Which, btw, is a continuation (kind of) of the Magnus Pack books. Pack Challenge is the first book in that series. Both books are set in the same world and there is some over-lap of characters (not much, but some.) While they can be read as stand-alones they really are better read in order.
I was also thinking The Beast in Him based off the description. I believe it's a separate series than the Magnus Pack series even though the world is the same. The first book in the Pride series I believe is The Mane Event, although they are enjoyable as stand alones, in my opinion.
omg thank u so much i have really searched for this book u are awesome sondrae and ann thank u so much
I have to agree and say that Shelley Laurenston has a great Were series. The Psy-Changeling series is pretty good also. It has Changelings that shift forms to several different animals. It is Sci-Fi with great romance. Sherilyn Kenyon has some Were stories in her collection of DarkHunter books. Vane, Fang, and Wren are some of the sexiest Weres you will read about.
Actually, the thing I found interesting about the Kenyon books was--she has TWO types of were's. The "human to animal" one that we usually view as "normal" and then the "animal to human" ones. I haven't read all of them, because I did one of those "marathon" reading sessions and did like 15 or so of the Dark Hunter/Dream Hunter books in a row. And, well, I just haven't been able to get back into them yet. But I did like that idea she had.
