"Bionic Man" - The Fabulous Poodles
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oat2Jv...

Saw the Fab Poos open for Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers on 11/16/79 at Masonic Temple and, believe it or not, they proceeded to blow the headliners right off the stage. TP didn't know what hit him.

Like Coop says, "In a perfect world, the Fabulous Poodles would be in rotation on classic rock radio." Instead, we get Genesis.

I loved the first three Tom Petty albums - this was the "Damn the Torpedos" tour - so it's not like I'm trying to belittle them at all but sweet Jesus... The Fabulous Poodles got called back for three encores. Then they started flicking the lights on and off and that was that.

"2+2=?" - Bob Seger
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=487t88...

Don't laugh. There was a time when Bob Seger wailed like a cat passing a gallstone and his songs would never be mistaken for Chevy commercials.

WTF!?!?!?!? This one really moves.

Imagine Alice Cooper crossed with Zodiac Mindwarp and the Love Reaction and then DNA spliced to Marilyn Manson. If Marilyn Manson could write a hook to save his life, that is. Unfortunately, you have to suffer through a 30-second spot for Captain Morgan first.
