Translation, Clark?"

There's a shitload of cowbell in that song, perhaps on a level with "(Don't Fear) The Reaper." It was a reference to that old SNL skit.

I've often said the same thing about "Mmmm Bop." Put some low-slung sleazy guitars, big-beat drums, and junkie vocals on either song and you'd really have something.

In primary school there were two groups of music lovers. AC/DC fans, the other were Bay City Roller fans. I unfortunately have to confess, my friends were Bay City Roller fans. My friends had all the gear! OMG.

And might I add "Twisting by the Pool" and "Industrial Disease."

Once they were slotted into heavy rotation on MTV, they were done like dinner.

I think twisting by the pool is the worst Dire Straits song. I dunno, i just can't see Knofler playing that stuff.. He's at his best on songs like Single Handed Sailer, And of course Sultans of Swing.

Feh... I'd have to go with "Money for Nothing."

I like songs that make your liver quiver and your bladder splatter. We shall have to agree to disagree.
