Unless blogspot has changed drastically since I left on December, you can follow people not on blogspot through your blogspot dashboard (which is connected to google reader). You just have to follow them manually, instead of clicking a follow button.

Sooo after a day of having a blog I've figured out what I want to accomplish with it: work on being able to write insightful and interesting articles and reviews that actually try to look deeper into things than just "I really like this because the characters are cool and that one scene with the one thing." So that'll probably be how most of my posts will be. Minus the ones when I can't help but shout random phrases of joy.

Ugh, I know how you feel. Sometimes it's such a task to make blog posts, especially when it seems to be all in vain.
You're blog is excellent though and I wouldn't want you to shut it down, but - as mentioned - I know how you feel.

I am seriously thinking about making a sort of diary blog as well :)
Like, writing a small entry-brutally honest every day-but under a fake name. It would be pretty cool :)

Oh ok. I don't have a blog or anything so I guess I didn't really think about that. I thought you meant you weren't sure if you wanted to do it in case you said something and someone you know finds out. That would be my reason for not doing it. Even on here I use Mandie instead of Amanda which is what most people in real life call me. I might create an account since so many people on here have blogs. I'll follow yours if I do.

I have gotten to the point where followers are nice, but I blog to blog, not to get followers. They are just a lovely bonus and I love having them when I do. :)
