I have just finished my first book on my new Nook and I ran into a "problem". Once I was on the last page of the book, there was no way to go any further and actually mark the book as read. Or maybe I don't know how to do it. My book still says I'm on page 150 of 150. Is there a way to get rid of that? What I did was archive it, and now it's ghosted, but it still says on page 150 of 150.

When I'm done with a book, I always set it back to the title page using the 'Go to' menu item. There isn't really a way to "mark" a book read though that I know of.

I have a shelf for books read in 2010 and one now for 2011. I found that way I could keep up with when I read them. :)

That's what I do as well.
What I do is have one of my shelves as read. So when I'm currently reading a book or when it's finished I can tell so when I do hook up to the laptop I can delete or archive my finished books and then will only have what I'm currently read again left on the shelf. And my archived books are hidden.
I also made a shelf called "Read". When I'm done with a book I put it there and remove it from my "Home".
there is no way to mark them as read other than doing things like Stan and Kim Win suggested. As far as I know, none of the books will even cycle back to the first page. You always have to manually reset it to the start of the book.
Ditto for me, I have a shelf zRead (that way it appears as the last shelf on the Nook) and when I am done with a book, I move it to that shelf. When I hook Calibre up, I remove them from that shelf.
I too, just made a shelf for read and unread. Then I'll add them to another shelf in what ever category they fall under
I don't see any sense in this, since I want to read every book to the last page. If you don’t know what to read, I can recommend you one very cool article jetsettimes.com/travelers/artists/bes... which presents the best books to read on a holiday evening. this article became very interesting for me and therefore I wanted to share it with you. After all, one of the best ways to relax after a long day and a hard work week is to read a fascinating novel.
