Louise, one of the Goodreads programmers, has created html tags for spoilers. What this means is that you can label "self-hiding" spoilers in the body of your text instead of writing **SPOILERS** at the top of the message.

Here's how it works: The spoiler tags look like regular html tags but say spoiler and /spoiler. Click the "some html is ok" link to view a list of tags supported, including spoilers.

Put {spoiler} before and {/spoiler} after the text you want to hide,
but use < and > instead of { and }.
That way you can say (view spoiler) and not ruin the surprise for everyone.

Here's the original thread so you can read all about it <<--Click here!

Almeta (menfrommarrs) | 182 comments I love the “spoiler” function!

Once you master it, you will too.

Using it is like belonging to a secret club. You don’t want to reveal anything to the uninitiated, but those that have already read the book and open the hidden spoiler recognize the secret handshake.

The spoiler itself is a mystery. (view spoiler) I always peek!

Re-bump... always useful.
