And I'll try to add it to my list..
I've a Re- Read list also..1. Harry Potter Series
I dunno how many times I've read them but still they'll be in my list.. Until I realize that I'm too old to read them.. I've developed a certain fondness for them having read hundreds of times from childhood.
2. The time travellers wife
3. Wuthering Heights
For now only these.. I'll add to the list as I go on..
My year started with this book.. I've found it an interesting read as the whole book is written from the POV of an autistic child.. He finds it difficult to understand the emotions.. He attempts to write a mystery novel and goes on investigation about the death of a dog.. He gets his inspiration from sherlock holmes ( whom I also adore).. From there the story unfolds into a complex family trouble.. On the whole a different story.. (Sorry I'm not very good at reviewing )

The Curious Incident..... is one of the best books I read last year. I would like to reread it sometime in future
Read this book for a light reading this week end.. It appeared a bit slow at the beggining, but gradually picked pace.. It's heart touching at a few places.. People in this book appeared to be spending half their time at pubs or clubs or party's.. A heart warming ending..
4/5
Finally completed this book.. It was long, but enjoyable all the same.. Except for a few irritating french sentences, the narration was good.. But I guess I liked wuthering heights better.. Everything in the story seemed to be so coincidental, like too good to be true.. But I like happy endings

Haven't read the book but watched the movie and loved it. Have you seen the movie? Is the book better?
@Balkha, depends, If u r not a fan of Gerard Butler, u wud definitely like the book better. Also once u read the book, u wud hav a certain impression of the leading lady as a very emotional sensitive person at heart and only putting upa a brave front outwardly, but in the movie i actually couldn't find that in her character. I thought she was far too strong and independent, mayb am wrong!
@ Aditya - that may also be bcoz Hilary Swank comes across as strong and independent...she looks more believable in "Million dollar baby" kind of roles.

hmm..well I like Gerard Butler..I thought he was adorable in the movie. As for Hilary, I thought the way she played this character was perfect but then I haven't read the book so didn't have any preconceived notions of how she should be.Maybe will check out the book coz it rarely happens that I watch a movie based on a book without having read the book..

Didn't see the movie.. But I felt that the concept could be better presented as movie.. Looks like people liked the book better..
yes, the movie is gud too, was directed well, but as Mansee said, the female lead looked far too strong for her role, someone who looks a bit more vulnerable wud do well in this role. Other than that no major complaints, yeah mayb sme may not like Gerard Butler too, but nothing wrong with the movie as is
High time I updated this thread.. Started reading all nicholas sparks books I have as I'm in mood for light reading.. I find that he uses same scenes and dialogues in almost all his books.. Read The lucky one, Message in a bottle, The rescue, the wedding, The last song.. I liked "the Last song" best of all.. Anyways enough of sparks.. Can't take in sappy romance anymore..
For you a thousand times over ! I loved this book. But I wished for a better ending where shorab would talk with Amir finally and a happy scene of family together. It was an amazing ending nevertheless. I didn't like amir at first and even wondered why he bothered to write a story about himself. Gradually I liked his honesty and sometimes even wondered whether it's the authour's true story. I liked characters of Hassan and Rahim khan the best.
