OK, latest round of pre-ordering
I've been wondering about Bank's new series. I couldn't get into her "Vampire Huntress" or "Crimson Moon" series. I stopped on book #1 for both - unfinished. Not like me not to push through, but at the time I didn't feel like it and have never tried again.I'll hold off on that one until I get some feedback on it, I guess.
I'm so happy we get two LoTU this year! Can't wait! Anxious for Paris' book, which will be #9, per author's site. But, I think both Amun's and Striders' should be good.
Really anxious for the second Hoodoo too! That first one was a super fun read.
I haven't tried Banks yet, but a very pretty cover & good blurb just sucks me right in.Yay, LoTU, the other one isn't showing up yet on BD.
And double yay for Hoodoo!!
And who doesn't love some dragonkin. Got the authors nl yesterday & she's only just finished it & handed it in.
Oh, then I'll be interested to hear what you think of it. Hopefully it's better (for me) that the others. The cover and blurb do make it enticing. :)Yeah, I keep checking for it too.

This is the only hc I've ever pre-ordered. I'm pretty happy right about now.
Yeah, I guess so. :p Actually I have all the Mercy books in HC, many of the Sookie and Rachel Morgan books as well. Hated waiting for the PB. So, no reason for not to get KS in HC. Esp since the wait will otherwise be hella-bad with everyone else on GR reading away, I wouldn't be able to stand it!
Actually, the notice that PB was being pushed from Aug to April came out a few weeks ago... Today's is that there is a delay beyond that: previous "earliest" date was 4/12, now it's 4/21....
KOS happy news! There's a new, and cheaper, paperback version available now...arrival date in NOVEMBER...I can wait that long. YAY! Click! Safely ordered now!

I can understand that, but I pre-order so I don't forget...as soon as a new book in one of "my" series pops up, I put it in the basket. It's like Christmas spread across the year! (positive thinking so I don't become a maniac while being FORCED to wait!)
It's way cheaper for me here in Aus to pre-order as well I often get the book faster. But yes, much more conscious of the waiting time.
The prices for the pre-orders are often better here, too (on pre-orders).

I've got the next Night Huntress on my pre-order list, too.Also got a refund g/c from amazon on my books that were supposed to arrive this week. Just leaving it there and hoping I'll be able to use that money to pay for them again in a couple of weeks! (Because I paid, it probably means my books are sitting in a warehouse somewhere near Tokyo, and they just can't get deliveries out...)

Got one of my preorders yesterday and I'm shocked.
Reason I'm shocked is I paid $5-83 thinking I was buying the MMP and I really bought the limited edition hc. Whoot! There is some weird webcam thingy in the gold seal and if you log on to the publishers website and hold it up to your webcam on the computer Ayla appears on the book cover, I think.Other preorders I've ordered
