David Msomba It's the nice one,it's my first in the Alex Cross series,it gave me the courage of continue reading the series, someone told Kiss the girl is best one in the series, any comment?so far Along came a spider to me is 3 stars out of 5,so any one know the best one in the series?

message 2: by D (new) - rated it 4 stars

D Stein I actually enjoyed Along Came a Spider the most but I have only read the two.

David Msomba thanx alot RJ,in next few weeks am going to start reading Jack and Jill!!!!

Jess Chambers I've only read the first two in the Alex Cross series so far, and Kiss The Girls was my favourite. I actually prefer his Women's Murder Club series though.

leanne Can't decide between Violets are blue or Big bad wolf. Both were great reads.

Trish Jones I enjoyed both Kiss the Girls and Along Came a Spider. Violets are blue was good too. Reading Alex Cross' Trial now.

Maritza Kiss the Girls was my favorite and the one that got me hooked on James Patterson.

Maritza His writing style has changed and he seems to be co-writing with other folks more often than not. I enjoyed the earlier Alex Cross books. They were more exciting and I could devour them in a day. A really good one that was not an Alex Cross book was "the Jester" I loved that one.

Jack and Jill IMO was another good one...enjoy it!

Mia Michalek I liked them all. Cat and mouse was my till I read Cross Fire, which was amazing. The least favorite was Cross country

Temple Rose Im still reading Jack and Jill. And can't make up my mind.

message 12: by Paul (new) - rated it 4 stars

Paul Stick with Jack and Jill. I just finished it and it was my favourite so far in the series.

Skele Most of the Cross series is good. All are fast paced. But his love/family life drags. Along came a spider & Kiss the girls were his master pieces.

David Msomba @paul,thanx i real appreciate am still reading jack and jill and it's interesting as u said
@Skele,thanx alot
@Mia,thanx alot and i appreciate

Jojo Ethier Violets Are Blue or Roses are Red. Im excited theres going to be a movie for the book Cross

message 16: by Anne (new) - added it

Anne I would have to say Kiss the Girls

Nancy Boone Kiss the Girls and Along Came a Spider were my favorites. But I really like all the Cross books.

Normandy Along Came a Spider and Kiss the Girls ( love the movie too) are the best - the following ones haven't quite lived up to them but they are all worth reading.

Skele Currently reading Kill Alex Cross. It's also a fast paced book. Nice read

message 20: by Gail (new) - rated it 5 stars

Gail Along came a Spider was rhe very first James Patterson book I read. I loved it so much that he has become one of my favorite authors. My favorite is his Women Club Murders series.

message 21: by Jud (new) - rated it 4 stars

Jud Holt Ive read all the alex cross series and along came a spider was good but my favorite was four blind mice

I'm with you there Mia, I thoroughly enjoyed Cross Fire as well. Unfortunately I was disappointed with the next one "kill Alex Cross" the title lead me to believe that's what the book would be about, which was far from the truth, I think the killer said once "I should Kill Alex Cross".

Joni Gail wrote: "Along came a Spider was rhe very first James Patterson book I read. I loved it so much that he has become one of my favorite authors. My favorite is his Women Club Murders series."

I also read "Along came a Spider" as my first Patterson book. It remains my favorite, but the Womens Club Murders is my favorite series. Wish I were one of the girls. Hehe

Carole Gail--I agree with you about the "girls"!! Have read all of the Alex Cross series and loved them--but since I haven't read the latest "Kill Alex Cross"--can't say which one was the best.

Carole Sorry--just noticed that it was Joni who posted about the Women's Murder Club--have you read the latest--"10th Anniversary"? Very good--the girls do it again!!

message 26: by Gail (new) - rated it 5 stars

Gail Yes I have read the 10th Anniversary...Hope another one in the series comes out soon!

Ciiku Definitely Kiss the Girls followed by the one of the Mastermind! I love the rest in equal measure.

Abhishek Dafria Many seemed to have loved Kiss the Girls. For me Along Came a Spider remains Patterson's best ever work. Then comes Kiss the Girls. But never enjoyed his non-Cross books...

Carole Hi Gail--11th hour--the next book in the Women's Murder Club is scheduled for release May 7th 2012--found it posted on James Patterson's website.

Karlene Elliott-mclean Here is how I rate his books;
1. Pop goes the Weasel
2. Cat and Mouse
3. London Bridges
4. Along came a spider
5. Kiss the Girls
6. Roses are red
7. Mary, Mary
I don't particulary like the non-cross books.

Rachel along came a spider is my favorite book by jp- i've read all but the latest book in the alex cross series eight of the murder club books and some of his stand alones. i also think kiss the girls, jack and jill and cat and mouse are fantastic.

message 32: by Henry (new) - rated it 1 star

Henry Along came a spider was a disappointing read for me. The detective work coverage was superficial and it was not a challenging read at all. The author has a limited vocabulary.

message 33: by Dee (new) - rated it 5 stars

Dee I too loved Along Came a Spider, however Cross Fire was my favourite book, I have loved following the relationship between Alex Cross and Kyle Craig, so this book was great!

message 34: by Kevin (new)

Kevin Calahan I actually think Four Blind Mice was the best. They have all kept me entertained. Four Blinc Mice had a better story and reintroduced his Nemesis, Kyle Craig

Normandy I love the Alex Cross series. One of my favorites though has been Suzanna's Diary for Nicholas. I cried like a baby. I just started Zoo.

message 36: by Eric (new) - added it

Eric Summers I'ma go with London Bridges and Big Bad Wolf

Anthony Alegrete leanne wrote: "Can't decide between Violets are blue or Big bad wolf. Both were great reads."

oh yes Kyle Craig, is it bad to love a villain, lol

Antoinette Lavook I absolutlly think this is the best one. I actually threw the book across the room 2 or 3 times while I was reading it.

Victoria Robinson Personally I prefer Kiss the girls but only because it is the only book in the series that has scared the bananas out of me! I have enjoyed all of them though.

Having seen the film Kiss the Girls, I was intrigued about the book, and wasn't disappointed, definitely the best read for me. Along came a spider didn't have that same edge as Kiss the Girls.

message 42: by John (new) - added it

John Cornelius I like all the books of this series. My favorite serial killers were Gary Sonji, Kyle Craig, and the Big Bad Wolf. Made it halfway thru London Bridges, and never picked back up on the series since. Would like to get back in sometime.

I like the Women's Murder Club, too.

John Cornelius Just out of curiosity, are the Michael Bennett books worth reading?
