message 1508: by Clementine (new)

Clementine (silentreverie) | 98 comments I've always wanted to read Maximum Ride series, but unfortunately I don't have that much money, and the library always has this missing books. If I visit the shelf with the MR series, 1st book missing. Always.

It's a shame I haven't read any Harry Potter books merely because 1. I don't have money 2. No one is good enough to buy me the series 3. The library always has missing books 4. My friends are scared that I'd lose it 5. I'm shy to even borrow from other people I'm not really close with 6. Just because life didn't want me to read it yet.

message 1509: by [deleted user] (new)

What exactly is the "Maximum Ride" series about, anyways?

message 1510: by [deleted user] (new)

Yup I love the Mortal Instruments, I don't want to read the new City of the fallen angels though.. It will ruin it for me. I liked the ending to city of glass :L

Marsha | 115 comments Hi I'm Marsha! I love to read YA books, even though I barely have the time to do it. Sometimes, school has to take a back seat to reading =o)

message 1536: by Aurélie (new)

Aurélie I'm Lauren and I go by a lot of names. To narrow it down to two I go by Lauren and Aurelie (My french name.) I love too many books and authors to narrow it down but my favorite genres are romance ( ANY book I read has to have romance or I don't read it at all) and fantasy and sci-fi. Um . . . I love, love, love to write and am currently writing a novel and I hope to publish it someday! Wish me luck! I'm so glad I joined this group! I hope I can meet a lot of new and good friends!

message 1537: by [deleted user] (new)

Hi Lauren! Welcome to the group!

Wow, I have everything in common with you. I also love romance, fantacy, and sci-fi as well! I'm also writing my own novel, set to be published October 3rd of next year! What's you novel about?

message 1538: by Aurélie (new)

Aurélie Thanks for being so friendly Ela! So far I don't really know what my novel is about. Crazy right? But I think its heading towards the fantasy/romance route. And yours?

message 1539: by [deleted user] (new)

Mine is about a hidden world full of supernatural beings hiding in the woods. But, then, this half-vampire girl falls for a full-werewolf boy, causing the ultimate forbidden love. That leads them on a wild ride of trying to stay together while fighting the rest of the world, including the humans. It's called "The Unforeseen Shadows" and it's the first book in "The Secrets Behind Terrance Wood" series. I'm sorry that's all I could tell you, but I don't want to give to much away unofficially, you know?

And thank you for calling me friendly and excepting my friend request! Your really nice, too :)

And its okay that you don't know what you novel is about yet. Take your time and make it really good!

message 1540: by Aurélie (new)

Aurélie Yours sounds really good! I definatly want to read it! May I sometime in the future?

Why not call youm friendly? You are! If a person likes all my favorite genres I just have to accept them! That means they are amazing! And people out there who don't like the genres I like that doesn't mean you aren't awesome! You are just those people like me hold a special place in my heart.

Yep, I'm putting a lot of time and effort into my novel. I'll definatly give you a summary after I know what its about! x3

message 1541: by [deleted user] (new)

Yes you may! But, this is my first book so I'm quite sure it won't be very well known. I'm currently working with an editor, but I just want to put off the release date until next year, but I'm not sure why. So yes, please please please read it! And thanks for saying it sounds good. Though, I based the book off all my favorite genres, like my dream book, you know? So, seeing that you like all the same genres I do, this will literally be the perfect book for your reading style :)

And I feel the same :) :) :)

Yes, creating a novel takes quite a lot of time. But, yes, I really want to know what it's about once you know!!! I'm sure it will be amazing!

message 1543: by Aurélie (new)

Aurélie @Ela:

I'm sure it will be well known! If you get a couple good readers that like it they will teel people, and those people will tell more people, and so on!

My book is also my dream book too! I keep asking my best friend to read it to make sure it makes sense. And yes same goes to you! I'm pretty sure you'll like my book too for the same reasons!

Haha! Thanks Ela! So far all I know is its about a teen girl. Possibly with a teen boy who of course is a sexy vamp!!!!

Thank you so much! And no worries; once I finish creating my website, I promise I will put up the release date and all of the sneak peaks! I know how it feels, waiting for a book without any information about it, so I will take care of it for all my new fans :)

Lol, Lauren, it sounds really great so far! Do you have any names in mind? I know my main characters are a girl full-vampire (named Jayda) and an incredebly sexy full-werewolf boy (named Mason)! If you need any ideas on names, I got a lot of guy names up my sleves :)

message 1546: by Aurélie (new)

Aurélie Hahaha, thanks for the offer Ela! So far my girl's name is Lyra, but I don't know what I guy's name is yet. I would love ideas! By the wayy I love your girl's name! Jayda is amazing! And same goes for you! I have a lot of unique girl names too if you ever need ideas.

message 1547: by [deleted user] (new)

Thank you about Jayda, and I love Lyra! It's the kind of name I would use, but I won't, because you called it first :)

Okay, how about this: you give me some good girl names if I give you some good guys names? Just send me a personal email so I can get it in my inbox. I'll go send you a message right now. Thanks!

Renee Pace (reneepace) | 4 comments Welcome everyone. I was off loop for a few days and the list keep growing. What an amazing bunch. I'm an Indie author and yesterday Off Leash, my contemporary boy coming of age story made the top 100 Amazon list for Best Children's Boys & Mens Books. That made my day. Of course it's since dropped but that's life. Yesterday I read a great YA paranormal by another debut author Cat Kalen called Pride's Run - couldn't put it down.

message 1549: by Ben (new)

Ben Hi, I'm Ben. I'm in Australia. I'm 14 years old. Favourite book genres would be realistic fiction, sci-fi, some romance and fantasy sometimes. I haven't read much, but my favourite books would be something like 'I Lost My Mobile At The Mall', 'Alex Rider' and 'Power of Five' books (can't wait for the last Power of Five book to be released :P). I'm already going to try to read some books from the reading challenges and I hope to have fun here!

message 1550: by Renee (new)

Renee Pace (reneepace) | 4 comments Welcome Ben. My now almost 16 year-old son toured Australia when he was 12 and he now wants to live there. Since his uncle has moved there I'm thinking that wish might come true. Welcome and love to hear what you're reading.

Off Leash - nitty, gritty YA
